Proposed deletion of Asian in Sweden edit

The article Asian in Sweden has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article seems to have been created off the back of other diasporic ethnic group articles. There are no WP:RS for the stub (nor is it even marked as being a stub), and the only connected article with some little sourcing is Swedish Indians. It is WP:OR that doesn't meet with WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. July 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you made a changes to the articles Overseas Indonesians and Indonesians, but you didn't provide reliable sources. They've been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add them, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Iryna Harpy (talk) 01:28, 9 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Swedish Indians, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Iryna Harpy (talk) 23:32, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Arabs in Sweden, you may be blocked from editing. —ALittleQuenhi (talk to me) 09:05, 13 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Do not use multiple IP addresses to vandalize Wikipedia. Such attempts to avoid detection or circumvent the blocking policy will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Iryna Harpy (talk) 21:58, 23 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

August 2016 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia. Sro23 (talk) 11:17, 4 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your recent editing history at Swedish Indians shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Proposed deletion of Meriam Abbas edit

The article Meriam Abbas has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no reliable references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. noq (talk) 11:07, 4 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

IMDb is not considered a reliable source, because much of its content is user-generated, see WP:USERG. JohnCD (talk) 14:22, 13 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Algerians in Sweden for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Algerians in Sweden is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Algerians in Sweden until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Novarupta (talk) 12:37, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hey please do not delete Algerians in Sweden I beg you, dont do that it I'll do anything what do you want! Please dont! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kend94 (talkcontribs) 19:48, 26 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Kend94! Please discuss the article and its deletion proposal at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Algerians in Sweden. It's not me who decides if it will be deleted, but community Consensus, and as a part of the community you can (and should!) participate in the discussion.
As for "I'll do anything" — this is not blackmail :-) Nobody wants you to beg for mercy or do favors. However, what I would like you to do, is to get familiar with the Policies and guidelines, in particular the following three which apply in this particular case as well as for other pages you created: Copying within Wikipedia · Notability · Verifiability. I very much appreciate your interest in migration and your motivation to improve coverage of this topic on Wikipedia. But you need to understand that, while everybody is invited to edit Wikipedia, certain basic standards apply. Your contributions don't have to be perfect, there's a whole lot of mistakes that you're allowed to make (and this being Wikipedia, somebody will eventually come and fix it), but there are a few things that you must adhere to, like Copyrights and Core content policies. If you do that in the future, your contributions will have a much better chance of not being deleted. Please read those guidelines I linked to, and then keep contributing well-sourced content! Happy editing :-) --Novarupta (talk) 08:58, 27 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
In case you're a bit overwhelmed with all the rules and guidelines (I sure am sometimes!), Wikipedia:Simplified ruleset gives a great summary. But be aware it's only a summary, the actual guidelines give much more information, so click on those links if you want to know more. --Novarupta (talk) 09:03, 27 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

December 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Template:Middle Eastern American without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Iryna Harpy (talk) 00:57, 29 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Let me Explain because Afghanistan its not Middle East and dont forget Afghanistan its Asian !!!!

A) Please do not WP:SHOUT; B) Always leave a WP:ES when you are making major changes; C) Read the note: "The U.S. Census Bureau considers Afghanistan a South Asian country, but does not classify Afghan Americans as Asian, but as Middle Eastern American." with sources provided. It is the template for "Middle Eastern American", therefore the template follows the U.S. definition of the ethnic group because we cannot engage in WP:OR no matter if it seems to be an anomaly. Okay? Have you finished edit warring the content now? --Iryna Harpy (talk) 09:23, 30 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

edit summary edit

An edit summary is a brief explanation of an edit to a Wikipedia page. When you edit a page, there is a small text entry field labeled Edit summary located under the main edit box and above the Save page button:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

This is a minor edit   Watch this page

By publishing changes, you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 4.0 License and the GFDL. You agree that a hyperlink or URL is sufficient attribution under the Creative Commons license.

Publish changes Show preview Show changes Cancel

The edit summary field appears above the "Save page" button

It is good practice to fill in the Edit summary field, or add to it in the case of section editing, as this helps others to understand the intention of your edit. Edit summaries are displayed in lists of changes (such as page histories and watchlists), and at the top of diff pages.

Citing sources edit

Hi. I see that you've been creating articles such as Moroccans in Belgium but haven't been citing sources that support the article content. Please have a read of WP:VERIFY to understand why it is important to cite source - especially for things such as population estimates. Cordless Larry (talk) 14:47, 7 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Also, please don't add unsourced material to articles with citation needed tags included in the edit. Those tags are for tagging existing unsourced content with. If you don't have a source that supports the material, then you shouldn't be adding it in the first place. Cordless Larry (talk) 18:49, 7 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
I've also removed this, which was also unsourced. Cordless Larry (talk) 16:18, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Speedy deletion nomination of Syrians in the Netherland edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Syrians in the Netherland requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://syrianrefugees.eu/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copying within Wikipedia edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Refugees of the Syrian Civil War into Syrians in Egypt. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:32, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

January 2017 edit

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you create an inappropriate page, as you did at Syrians in the Netherland. Hi there, I'm quite certain that you are adding to these articles in good faith. But you are duplicating existing articles, adding facts with no supporting references, and copying material from other websites to paste in directly. You can't do that here. Please post here on your own talk page, or ask for help on mine. I would like to help but if you continue to act without taking our advice here then you will be blocked again and ultimately could be permanently barred from editing here. Kim Dent-Brown (Talk) 12:47, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • I came here to say the same thing. That last article was copy/pasted from the Internet, and is thus a copyright violation. Please either write a proper article (you've been informed anough times how to do that), or stop wasting everyone's time. Thank you, Black Kite (talk) 19:08, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
Okay, there's a third editor (in the form of me) who is getting tired of the number of articles you're creating on one or another Arab group in some country or another where there only a small number of Arabic people. They're poorly sourced, and the numbers are so low that they can't even be understood to be a diasporic group, but merely constitute a handful of Arabic families. Adding numbers of Arabic students who come to study in another country does not count towards a diaspora: they finish their studies and return home. Like Kim-Dent-Brown, I understand that you are creating these numerous articles in good faith, but I haven't been able to improve your stubs as there just isn't any quality sourcing (as in WP:RS) with which to expand these stubs. Please read WP:OSE. The fact that there are some people from ethnic group "X" living in country "Y" does not make the fact notable or encyclopaedic. --Iryna Harpy (talk) 22:11, 18 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

I see that you have now created Arabs in Belgium, Kend94. What are the sources you have used for this? Where does the 500,000 figure come from? Please take heed of Kim Dent-Brown, Black Kite and Iryna Harpy's messages above. Cordless Larry (talk) 11:45, 23 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

just remove block from me please! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kend94 (talkcontribs) 20:51, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Down below you ask, "Why have you blocked me and I done something wrong" which indicates you don't understand why you were blocked. An admin isn't going to unblock you unless you articulate why you were blocked and how you are going to change the way you edit in the future. --NeilN talk to me 20:56, 24 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's not clear that you understand what standards are expected for adding content to Wikipedia or participating in discussions here. We require that you be able to participate in those competently and add good content to minimum quality standards. We're not trying to be mean, but your contributions and conversations so far don't show that you are ready for editing here. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 00:56, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

ok I understand everything you say !!! I wish you remove me as blocking and I will not touch anymore Wikipedia more and — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kend94 (talkcontribs) 20:27, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

1) If you're not going to edit any more then there's no reason you need to be unblocked. 2) You may be happier contributing to the Norwegian-language Wikipedia. --NeilN talk to me 20:34, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

You are still blocked because your block is indefinite and you have not demonstrated that you understand why you were blocked and that you will change your behaviour. It does not help your case that you have attempted to evade the block. Cordless Larry (talk) 19:47, 12 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

ok i understand everything but just remove blocking me and I'll quit paying lot more about it ok ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kend94 (talkcontribs) 18:49, 13 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why were you blocked and why do you want to be unblocked if you aren't going to edit? --NeilN talk to me 18:52, 13 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why im still block can you remove block from me please?
