Is it possible that you clicked "Show preview" rather than "Save page"?

Hi Keith - on occasion I've lost things too do to browser issues. It might also help to develop the article in your "sandbox" which should be about at your sandbox. I think your initial approach is sound though - using the other article as a starting point. But when you have many changes to make to a skeleton of an article it can get lost. Use the sandbox to get started and you can work on it in increments more safely.Smkolins (talk) 15:10, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Keith - start by pasting the initial content in the "your sandbox" link above. Then save. Then you can begin editing and people can help too if you want. Smkolins (talk) 15:37, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Keith - click "edit" on the source the article you want to use as a starting point. Then select all and paste into the sandbox. Then save that. That will capture the raw code of the article and drop the parts that are generated for people to see - things like the table on the right and various edit comments etc. Smkolins (talk) 16:51, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment.
