Edits to 1930 World Cup Players

Hi, I was wondering why this bot is changing the position of the categories it is moving like this I think the category was sensibly placed next to Argentina international footballers. Changing the category into alphanumeric order wasn't part of the CfD discussion was it? English peasant 16:32, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

This would be a function of the bot framework. It was not part of the discussion, no, it never is. Generally, the category order just like anything else in an article, not written in stone, and able to be changed by anyone. --Kbdank71 17:09, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Bot introduced table markup errors

On April 11 the bot made a sequence of edits that removed "[[Category:To do, priority undefined|{{PAGENAME}}]]" from (mainly) talk pages. Unfortunately, the edits also replaced in each case an immediately following line break by a space symbol. Since the removed text typically occurred inside a wikitable in which line breaks are a significant aspect of the table markup, this broke the code, causing the rest of the page to be included in the To-do list or Pending tasks; see e.g. Category talk:Horror writers and Talk:ITV. Categories for 'place' in the UK are slowly getting into a mess

Hi there. The conclusion of this discussion was to:-

1. Move Category:''short name'' to Category:London Borough ''long-name''
2. Merge Category:neighbourhoods of ''short name'' to Category:London Borough ''long-name''

You appear to be also merging other sub-cats of Category:''short-name'' to the overcategory. The decision reached about these were that they should be renamed to Category:sports in ''short-name'' to Category:sports in ''long-name'' (example).

Hollywood Walk of Fame

One of the arguments for removing this category was that there is the List of stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Previously, a reader could use the now-deleted category in an article to see who else has a star. Now, that functionality has been taken away. When the category is deleted in an article, shouldn't the bot ensure that a "See also" List of stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is present and, if not, add it to the article? By the way, does 2 keep and 5 delete really indicate community consensus? That's a verdict based on only 70% of the people responding in a 2-week period and a tiny fraction of the total number of registered users on Wikipedia. Yet it affects a few hundred articles. There are nations in the world who govern quite successfully with less than 30% support. I would have considered the result of the discussion as "no consensus" and left things as they are. Category move

Hello there. On November 23, 2008, you moved Category:Magallanes y Antártica Chilena Region to Category:Magellan and Chilean Antarctica Region (in the sense that you modified every article linking to the former category to link to the newly created category), following the results of this request. There was, however, in my opinion, no consensus reached there on the matter. Users "Alai", "Peterkingiron" and "Alansohn" voted in favor. "Dentren" and me voted against it (I voted in favor of a move —or rename—, but to a different title). I would like to know why you decided that three to two was a reasonable consensus and what are the steps that can be followed to either annul or reverse this change.
