(I think my "notify me of responses" info was incorrect, sorry. I've just updated it. You don't have to reply on your own talk page; you only need to use {{reply to}} and sign. But I'll answer here anyway.)
I'm guessing you're referring to the "Image Permissions" on that page. Unfortunately, that probably won't work.
Wikipedia distinguishes between images that are "free" and "non-free". If you want to try to get permission, you'll have to try to make the image free, otherwise it's not much use. Free images are images that can be used by anyone for any purpose with few restrictions. I don't think MoMA would grant that.
Non-free images can be used without permission under fair use, but they have to meet strict requirements. These are known as the non-free content criteria, and I can tell you right now that your planned usage will not meet those requirements, because your draft at User:Kaycee bc/sandbox is not yet an actual article. Once it is, you might be able to upload it (provided that it meets the other criteria.)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Sweet Breath of Life: A Poetic Narrative of the African-American Family, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Dudel250 (talk) 03:32, 14 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • I've declined the page because ultimately it comes across as promotional in tone. It has pretty big issues with WP:NPOV and at best, comes across as your personal essay about the poem. I do think it's notable, but it needs a LOT of editing to really make it appropriate for acceptance in the mainspace. I've deleted the version you posted in the mainspace, but I'll leave the draft copy be for the time being. I'll try to bang out a quick article, but offhand the version you created just isn't acceptable. It'd be fine as a personal essay for class, but not so much for an encyclopedia. I don't mean that to sound harsh, but there's a huge difference between the two things. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:22, 14 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • Also, per naming conventions we usually stick to the shorter title, so I'll be creating at The Sweet Breath of Life. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:23, 14 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
  • I've posted a clean copy at The Sweet Breath of Life. Offhand I do want to say that if I was looking at it as just a casual reader looking at a blog entry or a personal essay, the entry would be awesome. However like I said, there's a big difference in tone when it comes to writing an encyclopedic entry and you have to be able to source everything. The other big issue I saw after looking at the draft entry for a while is that I can see where someone could argue that you're posting WP:OR (original research) to the entry by drawing your own conclusions about the writing. It's also termed WP:SYNTHESIS. The issue with that is that we have to have everything sourced by independent and reliable sources. I do think that you're correct in your writing, but we still have to have a reliable source that backs up these claims and pretty much explicitly states everything that you're writing. In any case, I do think that you could merge some of the information from the draft copy, you just have to be careful in how you phrase it and how you source it. I'd definitely recommend looking into joining some of the applicable WikiProjects for help in editing for tone while also getting your point across with sources. Your draft article, Draft:The Sweet Breath of Life: A Poetic Narrative of the African-American Family edit

Hello, Kaycee bc. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "The Sweet Breath of Life: A Poetic Narrative of the African-American Family".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:The Sweet Breath of Life: A Poetic Narrative of the African-American Family}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 22:07, 22 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
