for the cover, although it is different, it is still fairly similar, so for purposed of identification, it is not required. If you want it to show the differences, then you are going to have to include a chunk of text about that topic of the different covers. And if you do describe the differences then we may not need the variant cover. One of the fair use criteria (3a) is that we try to minimise the use, and there are already plenty of fair use images in that article! Tom and Jerry Spotlight Collection. You can also go to WP:Third opinion to get some different points of view. Or if you do a little bit more editing, you can upload it yourself and see what happens.
