Hello, Katmccor, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to William Montague Cobb—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 00:04, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Materialscientist: Thank you for reverting the mistaken source code change, I went to do it immediately myself but you beat me to it. It seems you've reverted all of my contributions to this article that should be appropriately sourced and your comment suggests you only intended to revert the last one? I've added quite a lot and corrected errors in the page today so I just wanted to check with you regarding those edits. Thanks! Katmccor (talk) 00:28, 23 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm not certain what the issue was, but you did the right thing by asking. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:01, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
