I read all the way down edit

...but I do not want a prize. I can see somebody else has already done this and received an elephant stamp prize.  Instead I wanted to give you an award for all your help in welcoming new users. But then I read your post at Wiki Guides about the "bland, generic, meaningless" templates that "Thank you for your contributions" and the part about we and "who is this we?" and I realized that I was doing the same thing with my award. Aw heck. I'm gonna give you the award anyway, even though it does "thank you for your contributions" and says "we".

  Valued Contributor Award
You have been identified as a valued contributor and your efforts are appreciated. We are honored to present you with the Valued Contributor Award and we thank you for donating your time, expertise and effort to Wikipedia. Keep up the good work. Thanks. (more details)

You really do desrve some kind of recognition and I am thankful you are here welcoming new users. I think its important to the project and I appreciate it and I'm sure others do as well. Thank you for your contributions  I sure hope you knew I was going to say that. Best regards. - Hydroxonium (H3O+) 03:46, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I love it -- a gold shiny thing and a yellow smiley. It's super awesome, I shall add it to my little box of shiny trinkets at once =)
Can you imagine if we all had to leave two cheerful notes of thanks for every cranky "thou hast sinned" template we used? What a wonderful day that would be! Thank you for doing your part to tip the balance in the right direction. Katherine (talk) 06:49, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
It was my pleasure. - Hydroxonium (H3O+) 08:54, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Can you prove that tony strecker does not own indiana, fyi the state constitution says he does, look it up before you go re writing history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.41.67.81 (talk) 05:00, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you have some verifiable information which has been published by a reliable source, your contribution would be appreciated -- with the appropriate referencing, of course, so that other readers and editors can verify what you have written. Katherine (talk) 05:18, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I dunno 'Bouts this... I read on the wikipedia that I own 1% of Indiana. That's worth something. How about you, Jimbo, and I split it? (before it gets deleted.) Alarbus (talk) 05:58, 19 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Charles E. Fraser edit

If I sent you a long write up for charles fraser in word format, could you help me get it on to the wikipedia page? Jayfraser@fraser-construction.net — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jay fraser4 (talkcontribs) 05:25, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Jay. Sure, I'd be happy to help you expand the article. Please keep in mind that any information in the article needs to be backed up by reliable, published 3rd-party sources (such as newspaper articles or industry journals), so unfortunately it may not be possible to include all the information that you have.
If you would like to copy & paste your write-up onto this page, I can work on it from there.

Thanks. I went ahead and posted a bunch on the charles e. fraser page and cited as much as i could but i'm sure it need a good flushing out by wikipedia standards. I'd like to use frank loyd wrights wikipedia page as a model for anchors, pictures, and summary boxes. -Jay.

about article "Compare Car Insurance Policy Quotes" edit

http://insurance-auto-quotes.blogspot.com/2011/12/compare-car-insurance-policy-quotes_18.html is the domain belongs to me and I would like to share here (wikipedia) approved in writing articles please me, thanks

Hello, Sembahyank. Even if you wrote the original text, it is almost never okay to copy and paste text from another website into a Wikipedia article. Please read this page for more information.
Aside from the copyright problem, this doesn't look to be a suitable subject for an encyclopaedia article. Have you read Wikipedia's guide to writing your first article? It contains a lot of helpful advice for new editors, and it will help you to learn what subjects are suitable. Katherine (talk) 05:58, 26 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

regarding Suneet varma wikipedia Page. edit

Dear Katherine,

I am Nafees Jamal, writing to you on behalf of Suneet Varma, what is the reason for the change in this page? Why are u delete all information of suneet varma from the page of Suneet varma?

Please talk to us regarding this issue,

Suneet varma's Official e-mail ID is = suneetv@gmail.com and he is also available on the facebook page.

Warm Regards Nafees Jamal For Suneet Varma Design Pvt. Ltd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.177.218.40 (talk) 05:30, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Nafees. The text you added cannot be used on Wikipedia, because to do so would be a copyright violation. I have removed this text twice and left a note of explanation each time on the talk page of the IP addresses you have used. These notes are here and here. I realise that you probably didn't see these messages (and possibly won't see this one), because you seem to come from a different IP address each time you visit.
I would suggest that you create an account so that you always see the messages which I and other editors (such as Eagles247) are leaving for you. You don't have to create an account to edit Wikipedia, but it does make it much easier to communicate with other editors.
Please do read my previous messages to you here and here, and I'd be happy to answer any questions if anything is unclear. Katherine (talk) 08:46, 28 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Kathrine, I see you're well versed in wikipedia with some accolades. I also see that you are interested in following Charles E. Fraser from hilton head. Charles is a notable person on hilton head island, with three monuments in his name already. I've ammassed a collection of online articles to put together a biography of his, but was wondering if you could help.

please send me a regular email at Jay.fraser4@gmail.com if you would like to continue to chat.

Feast your eyes :)

Been a while since we interacted in any capacity, but I was re-reading some stuff from the Wiki Guides pages and thought I'd peek in and see what the participants have been up to in the last 24 months. In your case, having not seen an award of any type for so long, I thought I might offer you this picture of an eclipse to help spruce up your talk page and/or userpage. invite to WWI editathon this Saturday edit

There is a backstage pass coming up to be followed by an editathon in the State Library of New South Wales on Saturday 23 November. This is the first time that an Australian cultural institution has opened its doors to us in this way and will be a special opportunity because the Library is providing: one of its best rooms; its expert curators (along with their expertise and their white gloves); a newly launched website (containing new resources); and of course, items from its collection (including rare and usually unavailable material) which we can look at, learn from, and use, to improve WP articles. For example, on the chosen topic (Australia and WWI), the Library holds many diaries and manuscripts from the period.

As you can see from the Library's project page, they have connected this editathon with their own work. They have already set out a wide range of resources to make things easier for us. Please sign up on the editathon project page if you can participate either online or in person with other Wikipedians. Hope to see you there! (Sorry if you've received this message before - I did a quick check but didn't see it.) 99of9 (talk) 10:25, 19 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Cover Me (Canadian TV series) edit

The article Cover Me (Canadian TV series) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear to be notable, nothing found in a BEFORE. Tagged for notability since 2011

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
