Speedy deletion nomination of Hyoie O'Grady edit

Hello Katey Green,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hyoie O'Grady for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Sympathy edit

@katey, Don't give up. What is important enough for you to spend time writing is probably important enough for others to read. The WP systems of checks and balances is tilted to make it easier to be critical than creative. Because we never see each other face to face, editors use delete and speedy delete with glee. It's the same as the nasty tone you'll find on Twitter. Don't take it personally. They believe they are improving the quality of WP. What they may be doing is discouraging work by new people and rewarding toadies. Not to worry. Carry on. Rhadow (talk) 20:38, 18 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
