Notes

edit

Hi! Here are my notes:

The sentence "In his first contributions, Percy proved his knowledge and interest in the good and bad that accompanies contemporary culture." needs to be attributed along the lines of "According to scholars such as X, Percy proved his knowledge and interest in the good and bad that accompanies contemporary culture with his first contributions." The reason is that this could be seen as a bit of an opinion statement. The same thing goes for "He presents a new way of viewing the struggles of the common man through his specific use of anecdotes and language", since it just needs to be attributed. The same needs to be done for the influence section. The writing isn't bad or anything, it just needs to be attributed.

I hope this helps! I think that this could be moved once you make those changes. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:42, 30 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Oh! Almost forgot - I think that the way you've set up the page looks very good and will definitely be a huge improvement! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:43, 30 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

How to add Walker Percy's picture.

edit

Hi, Katem0315. I'm not Shalor (obviously), but I think I know what you should do to add Walker Percy's image to the mainspace article. You need to write the whole file name in the parameter. Like this: Walker_Percy.jpg

When I looked at your edit history I saw that you wrote "Walker Percy" instead. I almost did it for you, but I know that you are learning to edit so I figure you will want to try it out. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Sincerely, Shashi Sushila Murray, (message me) 08:07, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much! Katem0315 (talk) 16:17, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome, Katem0315. Welcome to Wikipedia! :D I am really thankful for student editors. Without teachers and student editors many topics would be hopelessly neglected. Since it is a volunteer project, many editors will focus on what they are interested in and won't care to develop notable niche topics that takes the insight of educators and students to identify. So thank you very much for your contributions! Sincerely, Shashi Sushila Murray, (message me) 20:56, 4 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
