I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome! I don't make up stuff. My most recent animal page was about cats.

Hi again...only thing I saw in the deletion log was something regarding a non-existent Sonic the Hedgehog game...--PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:38, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

We need to get something straight right off the bat, my friend: This is not, as I pointed out, the place to make stuff up. Yes, I have heard of Sonic the Hedgehog and yes, I've even played some Sonic games. This does not mean that you can simply make stuff up about a legitimate subject. Please don't do so again; you run the risk of losing your edit privileges. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:54, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • It's OK. It's just that there are a lot of volunteers who take the project seriously. You're certainly welcome to contribute real and meaningful content.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:03, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sure do. Part of the problem we have around here is the misconception that "open content=anything goes." That's OK; wikis of all types are often thought to be that way. If you take a stroll around the site, you'll see that the content really is serious. Go to the main page and check out the current featured article to see what I mean. Seriously though, if you really wish to contribute, you will find nothing but boundless help from other editors like me. I just happen to be an administrator...basically, I can delete content and block problem accounts. Other than that, I'm held to the same standard as everyone else. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:17, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Yup. I've listed my best stuff on my userpage. Just click on the "PMDrive1061" at the end of this sentence and feel free to click on any of the links on the page which pops up. PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:33, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well, other users have been kind enough to award me the Barnstars on my talk page. I just copied and pasted them to the user page. WP:BARNSTAR has the details. I did a lot of the bios back when the site was still fairly new and yes, I really do know those people. Been really lucky. I see one of them on a weekly basis and I just heard from another this afternoon. PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:41, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:58, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

New sections edit

Since you seem to have an interest in Wikipedia, you might like to know that you do not need to start a new section every time you reply to another user on their talk page as long as it is on the same subject. Instead, could you try to reply in the section where your conversation first started? This way, their talk page does not get crowded and confusing. Thanks, Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:01, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Pineapple...? Rimshot, please!  :) No, I'm not a teenager. Haven't been one for a long time, I'm afraid. Still act like one, tho. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:30, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Again, please read what I wrote above. Please put your new text under your old text on other users pages if it is the same conversation. Do not start another new section. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:40, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
For the last time, please read what I wrote above about new sections, or else I will personally revert any nonsense you add to User:PMDrive1061's talk page if you make a new section again. Sorry for being harsh, but Wikipedia is not a social networking site, as stated below. Eagles 24/7 (C) 03:53, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi,I just got help! Sorry, I did not know how to do it without pressing that button!

December 2009 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Your request for help edit

Hi, what do you need help with? @Kate (talk) 16:05, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Try this: Go to this link and click the little [edit] button on the far right of your screen. Type whatever you want to tell PMDrive1061 and click save. This is how you edit a section on Wikipedia, without starting a new section and overloading PMDrive1061's page. (By the way, it's called a "revert", not an "invert".)
