Shenzi (people) edit

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Shenzi (people), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Candace of Ethiopia edit

A tag has been placed on Candace of Ethiopia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. February 2008 edit

Hi, the recent edit you made to Dan Kashagama has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. African Chess edit

The page you created, African Chess, does not have any references, and may fail WP:V, wikipedia's verifiability policy. In addition, at least one of the claims ("Chess in Africa predates chess in other parts of the world") is simply incorrect. See the discussion at Talk:African Chess, and maybe you can improve the article by adding some references. Quale (talk) 19:11, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Edits to Africa-related articles edit

Hello, Kashagama. I notice you have made quite a lot of edits to Africa-related articles such as Senterej, Nile, Kandake and Amanirenas. When you are doing so, please ensure that you are familiar with WP:V, WP:NPOV, WP:OR, WP:COI, WP:CITE and other relevant Wikipedia policies. Thanks.

This is the appropriate template message;

Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.

Edit summaries edit

Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. It makes it easier for others to see what you are doing and makes misunderstandings less likely Tameamseo (talk) 23:04, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Eit to Twenty-fifth Dynasty edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Twenty-fifth dynasty of Egypt. Your edits appeared to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Possibly you had a reason, but unexplained removals of templates do not appear constructive Tameamseo (talk) 23:09, 22 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Kashagama! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Caroline Kamau - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Charles Wachira - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Proposed deletion of Caroline Kamau edit

The article Caroline Kamau has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I cannot find sources that are not mirrors of wikipedia. I'm not convinced the AUF is notable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
