The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply {{db-afc}}

Conflict of interest
editHello, Karinsoika. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – Athaenara ✉ 09:08, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

Decline reason:
Thanks for admitting your conflict of interest. Now that you know you won't be unblocked to write about your husband, please take a moment to consider if there's anything else you want to write about instead. Anything for which you have no conflict of interest. If so, please tell us what you'll write about instead and convince us you understand and will stop violating WP:COI and WP:PROMO. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Hi, Athaenara, thanks for caring about Wikipedia. Regarding my block: I think the block is in fact not necessary; I just tried to publish an English version of my husband's German Wikipedia article (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Schotter) Many of the people who are working with him or research him (Robert Schotter in der Internet Movie Database (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3323585/)) do not read German. It was a try to make Wikipedia better. What was weird is that I was approached by some editors who tried to sell me publication (publicate the english article for a fee). This is nothing I want to support. Maybe rather block these?

Hi, I am reconsidering your criticizing promotion - actually I do not see that. Athaenara even deleted my own article (Karin Ulrike Soika) for that reason. The wording was not promotional, just stating facts. In fact I AM an international artist, in fact my husband IS an award winning director. Weird. And the good news? Hi, I would like to edit/update https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi
There is an improper citation
According to Leonard Koren, wabi-sabi can be described as "the most conspicuous and characteristic feature of traditional Japanese beauty and it occupies roughly the same position in the Japanese pantheon of aesthetic values as do the Greek ideals of beauty and perfection in the far West."
The Citation omits words, wrong punctuation; I do have the original book at hand and would like to update the article.
Decline reason:
Procedural decline. As with the previous request, this doesn't seem to be an unblock appeal. We all understand you want to be unblocked. You really need to read WP:Guide to appealing blocks first. In your appeal, you need to be clear about your understanding of the reason for your block, what you will refrain from doing once unblocked, and what you intend to do. I can offer one bit of advice: a condition for unblocking, in an administrator's eyes, would likely include an agreement that you will not edit any article subject with which you have a conflict of interest. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:11, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

Hello Anachronist, thank you for your administrator's advice. In what form would you like to receive the agreement regarding the articles bearing a conflict of interest? Here? An email ? (→ where to?) Registered letter (→ what address?) A cease-and-desist letter? (→ How?) Karinsoika (talk) 17:33, 27 February 2020 (UTC)
- All we need from you is a simple statement that you will refrain from making edits related to your conflict of interest. You should also tell what subjects you will edit about instead. 331dot (talk) 17:45, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

This is basically the same as your previous unblock request. Please read Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks and follow the instructions. In particular, you were asked to make "a simple statement that you will refrain from making edits related to your conflict of interest". You have declined to do that in this unblock request; is that because you are refusing to abide by our policies? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:00, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Regarding to this very long user talk: Referring to the above: I will refrain from making edits related to the conflict of interest, thus the above mentioned Draft:Robert Schotter and the Karin Ulrike Soika article. Both have been deleted in the process (the issue is open since 2014) which makes this statement a bit... obsolete... in my eyes. Anyway, it boils down to the same: I will not edit these articles.
@Anachronist, NinjaRobotPirate; Like that? Something else?
Fact is - my reason why I would like to be unbocked: I would like to make the wabi-sabi article better by correcting a definite mistake (wrong citation). Service to the comunity etc. If I remain blocked, I cannot do that, the mistake remains until hopefully someone else notes it and corrects it. Fine with me. I think you can get the book in any library... you guys could also correct it. :)
PS: To make this story short and waste less energy and time: maybe one of you guys could make the correction in the above mentioned article (I cannot due to block). Here is the proper citation:
″Wabi-Sabi is the most conspicuous and characteristic feature of what we think of traditional Japanese beauty. It occupies roughly the same position in the Japanese pantheon of aesthetic values as do the Greek ideals of beauty and perfection in the West.″ Page 21
Here again a link to the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wabi-sabi
Accept reason:
You are unblocked subject to these conditions: (1) you shall not edit articles with which you have a conflict of interest; (2) you shall not create articles in main space about subjects with which you have a conflict of interest; (3) if you create a draft article about a subject with which you have a conflict of interest, you shall submit it for review and refrain from moving the draft to main space; (4) if you want to make any substantive changes to an article in main space with which you have a conflict of interest, you shall propose your change on the talk page rather than making the change yourself. Violating these conditions will result in immediate re-blocking, with little likelihood of a successful appeal. ~Anachronist (talk) 06:21, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
@Athaenara: I'm OK with the appeal above, if you are. Clearly a new editor trying to learn the ropes here. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:59, 3 March 2020 (UTC)
