Synagogue Church edit

You placed an A3 tag on this page within about 10 minutes of its creation, and only about 2 minutes after the last edit by the author. I would encourage you to wait awhile before tagging nearly-empty articles with A3, because, as was the case here, the author may still be working on the page and your tag will be disruptive and discouraging. In general, I think it's probably best to wait awhile for any speedy tag other than attack pages, copyright, and other such issues. Page patrolling edit

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. This is just to let you know that I deleted Fufufufufufufufufufu as a blatant G3 hoax. Please take time to read the articles before tagging them - there's no rush. Please also read WP:NPP, and if anything is not clear don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Thanks. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 14:54, 29 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Rupert Gerritsen edit

I understand the need for aggressive patrolling but sometimes this can be a bit too aggressive and a source of irritation to the contributor. Not every contributor is at the level of a super contributor whose entry is perfect from the word "go". So when I placed the outline of an article, which was barely one minute old, I received a veritable barrage of things that were required and a threat to remove the page etc etc etc etc. Being aggressive is different to being helpful. I am slow and methodical and don't get it right first time. So please be helpful if you must, but aggression is for another time. Thanks. Rupert Gerritsen biography now satisfies all requirements for Wiki use. If there are problems, please contact me first to discuss matters. These entries take a great deal of time and effort so this would be a nice courtesy if there is a problem. Bill Woerlee (talk) 23:30, 29 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Help with new page patrolling edit

Hi KarikaSlayer. Thank you for patrolling new pages and proposing around 81 articles for deletion. However, your mis-tagging is approaching 10% which is a little on the high side. Patrolling is an essential function at Wikipedia, not only to prevent the wrong kind of pages staying online, but also to do some basic research and tag them for attention. You may be wondering why it is important to take time over tagging, these checks are just a few of the reasons why a page cannot be tagged for deletion in just one or two minutes:

  • Check page deletion logs - because the page may be a recreation, or may have been recreated by a sockpuppet.
  • Check page protection logs - because the page may be a recreation following a recently expired protect.
  • Check page history - because a previous CSD, PROD, or AfD tag may have been removed.
  • Check user talk page for vandalism and other warnings, and deletions of the same page under a slightly different name.
  • Check user block log, it may be a persitent vandal.

There is currently a drive to improve the quality of patrolling - you can help! Please read these pages, preferably in this order: WP:NPP (recently updated), WP:DELETION, WP:CSD, WP:10CSD, WP:FIELD, and WP:A7M, and if there's anything that is not clear, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. You may even wish to make your own suggestions for improvement of the NPP page. Happy editing! --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 00:10, 30 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

August 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Hawaiian Pidgin may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • [[fricative]] to a [[plosive]] (stop). For instance, ''think'' {{IPA|[θiŋk]}} becomes {{IPA|[tiŋk]]}}, and ''that'' {{IPA|[ðæt]}} becomes {{IPA|[dæt]}}.

Disambiguation link notification for October 3 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sussex dialect, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Metathesis (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
