Conflict of interest, reliable sources

Hello KarenaD,

You have indicated that you work for EBSCO Publishing, and other editors have indicated that you should take care to adhere to the conflict of interest policy. I found an essay that may be helpful in guiding you on how best to serve the interests of EBSCO Publishing and Wikipedia - it's called Suggestions for COI compliance. In a nutshell, it recommends that you suggest changes on the article's talk page, discuss them with other editors, and let other editors actually make the changes. Of course, if something patently untrue is there (that is, information that doesn't cite a reliable source), feel free to remove it immediately. If you continue to edit the article, I will tag it with {{COI}} so other editors know of your conflict. It wouldn't be my call, but you could be blocked for editing in that manner.

On the subject of sources, it's not appropriate to link to article's on the company's own website. I understand that they are from reputable journals, but if those journals do not have online editions you should instead use the {{cite journal}} template and simply not include a link. Many Wikipedians subscribe to academic journals and can confirm the content. Since your company produces some excellent secondary sources, I'm sure you can appreciate that it cannot be a secondary source for itself.
