Hi from WikiProject Indonesia edit

Hi Kansai2kansas! How are you?

WikiProject Indonesia invites you to join the project, and we are sure that you can help us greatly there. WikiProject Indonesia is a project dedicated to improve all articles related to Indonesia and currently we have got 37 members.

Here are some things you can help us with:

  • Assessment: It's where you can tag Indonesia-related articles out there with our project banner and help us gather all articles.
  • Cartography: Or maybe you can draw maps? It is a very important sector of our project, since Indonesia is a big country with thousands of islands, maps could be very useful.
  • Collaboration: Every fortnight, we choose a short article that needs to be looked at and we improve that particular article together. The main goal is, of course, to reach featured article status.
  • Or you can just help us expand articles related to Indonesia.

Have fun and see you there!. -- Imoeng 13:06, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Indonesia fortnightly collaboration = Jakarta edit

Hello there Kansai2kansas, this week's Indonesia project collaboration is > > > Jakarta < < <. Please contribute. The most important thing is to find reliable references for all existing information, and for any new info added.

Also, please help nominate an article for the next collaboration at the collab nomination page. An underdeveloped or stub article is preferred over a long and developed article. Please nominate up to two articles. any questions, please let me know. Kind regards and happy editing. --Merbabu 11:33, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your message edit

Hello there. lol - it's funny being asked for advice on what kind of articles you should edit, but I like your apparent enthusiasm. I'll focus on the Indonesia articles. There are so many Indonesia topics - you just have to look around for something you like. History? Politics? Nature? Art/music/etc? Geography? There are thousands. Why not visit the Indonesia project page. Also, Category:Indonesia is a good place to start to find articles you might want to edit - just "dig" down through the sub-categories such as Category:History of Indonesia.

My best advice (and strong request) to you though is to provide reliable references to any new information you add, and possibly better still is to provide reliable references to any existing information that is currently unreferenced. Indonesia articles could do a lot better in this regard. Part of the problem is that many were originally simply translations from the Indonesian language wikipedia which has almost no references - remember, other language wikipedia's can't be used as references - of course, references you find on say Indonesian wikipedia can be used (even if they are in another language).

Any questions, just let me know. regards --Merbabu 10:09, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:48th ronin.png edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:48th ronin.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 06:13, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Categories in the sandbox edit

Hi,

Please don't add pages in your userspace ("sandboxes") to categories which are intended for article space, as you did at User:48th ronin/sandbox. I commented out the categories there.

When you create a proper article from that sandbox, then you may, of course, add it to appropriate categories. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 12:33, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for January 25 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Timothy Doner, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:59, 25 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Are these flags suitable as symbols of languages? edit

In last months I and my friend created flags for languages. Are they practicable (mainly the Indonesian and Malay ones)? We want not to use flags of countries, where language is multinational or country is multilingual. Malay is case of both.

Indonesian

Malay (it has link to another version)

Chinese

English

French

Spanish

Portuguese

Dutch

German

Waray-Waray

You can comment any flag with your impressions or suggestions. I welcome any feedback. Hosmich (talk) 15:06, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Article upgrade assistance request (Pre-translation stage) edit

Seasons Greetings,

This is in reference to a relatively new umbrella article on en-wikipedia named Ceremonial pole. Ceremonial pole is a human tradition since ancient times; either existed in past at some point of time, or still exists in some cultures across global continents from north to south & from east to west. Ceremonial poles are used to symbolize a variety of concepts in several different world cultures.

Through article Ceremonial pole we intend to take encyclopedic note of cultural aspects and festive celebrations around Ceremonial pole as an umbrella article and want to have historical, mythological, anthropological aspects, reverence or worships wherever concerned as a small part.

While Ceremonial poles have a long past and strong presence but usually less discussed subject. Even before we seek translation of this article in global languages, we need to have more encyclopedic information/input about Ceremonial poles from all global cultures and languages. And we seek your assistance in the same.

Since other contributors to the article are insisting for reliable sources and Standard native english; If your contributions get deleted (for some reason like linguistics or may be your information is reliable but unfortunately dosent match expectations of other editors) , please do list the same on Talk:Ceremonial pole page so that other wikipedians may help improve by interlanguage collaborations, and/or some other language wikipedias may be interested in giving more importance to reliablity of information over other factors on their respective wikipedia.

This particular request is being made to you since your user name is listed in Wikipedia:Translators available list.

Thanking you with warm regards Mahitgar (talk) 05:48, 24 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
