Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Prediction market. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 20:18, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Prediction market, you may be blocked from editing. MrOllie (talk) 20:29, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Response edit

Hi MrOllie,

Thank you for looking through my edits and apologies if my edits were disruptive. This is my first time editing wikipedia articles, and I would love to learn how to do this properly. Although I am affiliated with Kalshi, I am making my edits as objective as possible and citing proper third party sources, like the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Wall Street Journal. Please kindly let me know how I can best make edits to minimize disruption be granted approval.

See WP:PAID, certain disclosures are required by Wikipedia's terms of use in that case. Read WP:PAID and WP:COI throughly. From now on you should not make edits to articles about your company yourself, instead propose changes on talk pages and someone uninvolved will review them. I notice you still haven't made the required disclosures, though you are mentioning your conflict of interest when you start talk page discussions (thanks for that!). Please do read the guidelines on PAID editing carefully and be sure to remember to put the required disclosure on your userpage. MrOllie (talk) 17:13, 22 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ah, thank you so much for this clarification. I didn't think I was a paid contributor because I an employee of the company, but I realize now that I am indirectly paid for my contributions. I will note this in future posts. Kamyarghiam-kalshi (talk) 17:16, 22 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
