Peer Review

edit

I am unsure of the article’s overall status; it looks like the author is starting from scratch but is not finished. The article is pretty sizeable which is great and also has some really good subsections that allow for more elaboration. The article needs to have more citations to back up some of the statistics and some of the facts that are presented. I only saw a few citations, none of which were from peer-reviewed articles. While the article is well-developed, it appears that the author has not finished with the section called “Black Women’s Performance in Politics” and may not have finished the section called “Black women in higher political power.” The author could also add more sections, specifically maybe talking about which party’s Black women tend to run in, and maybe even discussing some more notable figures or elections where Black women won their respective elections. Maybe even discussing which states have had more Black women running, etc. Of course, the addition of those sections is merely suggestive because the current sections definitely work to make a nice article, but it could be really interesting to see how those sections add to it! Black Women Running for Political Office moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Black Women Running for Political Office, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Black Women Running for Political Office in the United States moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Black Women Running for Political Office in the United States, is not suitable as written to remain published. The article needs to be written in a neutral and encyclopedic tone rather than in one reminiscent of an essay, for consistency with Wikipedia's Manual of Style and so that readers may look for specific paragraphs of information on the topic without having to read through the entire article leading up tot here beforehand. I certainly do think that the topic covered in the article is notable, the article just needs some rewriting per the reasons stated above.
