Your signature edit

Your use of a swastika in your signature is bound to attract unfavorable attention. If that's your goal, you've achieved it. If you would like to continue editing here, I recommend that you change your signature. EdJohnston (talk) 00:34, 25 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Let me say, I'm not even remotely offended by swastikas. I'm well aware of their significance in Indian culture- I've studied Asian philosophy, religion, and art, so I know what it means in context. I just didn't want you to get in trouble, because you seem like you'll be a valuable asset to us here. I've only been around for a few months myself (well, a couple months before my account, I was an IP), but you seem like you know your stuff. See you around!! Given the willingness you expressed on AN/I to remove the swatika from your signature, and the fact that you did so, I have taken the liberty of redacting it from previous instances of your signature where I found it. Thanks for understanding that the collegiality of Wikipedia is best served by your decision. Best, Beyond My Ken (talk) 01:06, 25 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

(out) I think you still have to fix your sig a bit -- you appear to be missing an apostrophe in front of the ellipsis where the stastika used to be, i.e. you have ''...''' (2 apostrophes, ellipsis, 3 apostrophes) where you should have '''...''' (3 apostrophes, ellipsis, 3 apostrophers). The mismatched apostrophes are causing problems with the formatting of the text in your comments. Beyond My Ken (talk) 20:46, 25 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your user page edit

I have removed from your user page the code with overlaid the name of the page, i.e. "User:Kalakitty", with another piece of text, something about not being good with computers. Please remember that the user page does not belong to you, but to Wikipedia, and you are not free to alter it in ways that make it harder for other editors to identify what the page is. Because of this, the swastika in your sig, and your obvious in-depth knowledge about Wikipedia, I will be noting your behavior on AN/I. Please address any comments you may have there.
