Does Pride cover this film? Vensatry (ping) 19:11, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

Google Preview may allow us to find out. I'll see if Best covers it, then share the pics with you. Kailash29792 (talk) 01:04, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it does. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 02:56, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Dhananjayan

Did Dhananjayan write anything about Missamma and Patala Bhairavi in his book(s)? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 05:57, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

@Pavanjandhyala: He did write about Patala Bhairavi. Not sure about Missamma/Missiamma (Tamil version). — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 06:02, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
@Ssven2: Can you give me that info about Patala Bhairavi? and Kailash, can you find info about Missamma/Missiamma in his books? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:04, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
@Pavanjandhyala: I don't actually have the info. I knew it from Danny's info on Mayabazar (from Kailash's photobucket profile) where about the director K. V. Reddy, it is stated, "Detailed write-up about him appears in Patala Bhairavi." — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 06:07, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Missiamma is not there in the book. I'll give you info on PB. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:18, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
@Pavanjandhyala: Also try to look for any telugu newspaper references like for Mayabazar. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 06:20, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
Sure Ssven2! And Kailash, please send those links through a message on my talk page. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:27, 19 May 2015 (UTC)

Can this source be considered reliable? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 07:30, 20 May 2015 (UTC)

For GA it looks good, but unlikely for FA. Kailash29792 (talk) 08:20, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
Okay. Since the goal is GA for now, i shall use it. Well, do you think this research by S. V. Srinivas, senior fellow at the Centre for the Study of Culture and Society and visiting professor at the Centre for Contemporary Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (as per Indian Express) will be of any use? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:29, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
As long as he is a professor who has received media coverage, it's great. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:55, 20 May 2015 (UTC)
But what about the source? this content is "only" available at academia.edu which is a social networking website for academics which is a platform for sharing research papers. Still would you stick to the prior opinion? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 02:45, 21 May 2015 (UTC)
Because it is written by a professor and not a common man, it is acceptable. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:30, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Can you find the ISBN number of this? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 17:25, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

I tried, but sorry I couldn't find it. I still think you have the necessary details about the mag. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:32, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
Well, i wanted to use it for "Reception" and "Impact" sections. While the article was not really of any use for the former, i used Cinegoer source (i mentioned this on 20 May) for the latter. Today is N. T. Rama Rao's birthday and my work on Pathala Bhairavi will be completed today.   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 03:42, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Avvaiyar Pride

I have mailed you information from Pride of Tamil Cinema. Print screen from Google preview. The preview might not be available so I print screened the info when it was available. By the way, I met Ssven2 in person today (actually on Facetime). A startling revelation - he is actually my classmate in school! I did not know after all this time! He told me about your choosing of Avvaiyar as his next GA. I fortunately had the previews that I had mentioned above and shared it with him as he didn't have it. He has sent it to you on my behalf. (So technically I mailed you thorugh his mail shaun.srini152415@gmail.com.) Just for your information, my name is Guru Prasad. Have you received them?   Thamizhan1994 (Appo Pesu) 05:24, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Yep, I happened to meet him on Facetime. Extraordinary, don't you think?  Ssven2 Speak 2 me 05:36, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
I got the mails, thank you. I even replied. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:07, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Pathala Bhairavi

Finally, it begins.   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:52, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

Sorry Kailash, i changed the "Underworld" to "Netherworld". I dont want to see Pathala Bhairavi as a lady don. :P Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:58, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
I know; "underworld" is starting to lose its original meaning of the underground world, in favour of the criminal meaning  . Kailash29792 (talk) 17:02, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Yes. Criminals loot many, including the mythology! I want to know that man who named this crime world as "underground". Pavanjandhyala (talk) 17:05, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
Pavan, this may have some useful information, starting from page 33. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:10, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
I've gone through the same Kailash. One thing stopped me from incorporating it initially. Firstly, it gives the feel that Pathala Bhairavi began the trend of hero-centric films where female lead's role has been reduced significantly. In complete contrast, the film stands in the list of 100 great Indian films of all time. Both are two swords that don't fit in a single scabbard. Thus, i retained the latter and left the former to the winds partly. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 17:25, 1 June 2015 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
For your exceptional support during the journey of Pathala Bhairavi from a Start-class article to a GA today. Your minor edits, suggestions and corrections — everything hepled me big time. Thanks for being helpful.   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:10, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

List

I have just created a list of films that I have seen. What do you think of it?  Ssven2 Speak 2 me 07:12, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

It's a great way to keep track of the films you've watched. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:15, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Missamma

Navya weekly of Andhra Jyothy published a five-page detailed article on Missamma on 18 May 2005. It defenitely has a lot of information, but it is available like these — 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Now, how to use them as sources? If we can use these, Gundamma Katha can also be expanded significantly based on a Eenadu weekly where the details are available just like these. Please help! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:45, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Use the SFN format. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:48, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
What about ISBN? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:50, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
I don't know about that. As long as you have the details of the book/magazine, the numbered pages, the publisher and the year, you can use it as a ref. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:56, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Like Danny's ref in Mayabazar? i.e. Dhananjayan, G. (2011). The Best of Tamil Cinema, 1931 to 2010: 1931–1976. Galatta Media. Author name is present in both the cases i.e. Navya and Eenadu. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:04, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Yes, and like MSS Pandian's ref in Parasakthi. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:08, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Can you please translate the relevant Tamil references available here for Missamma? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:59, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

By this eve I will. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:20, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
A gentle reminder!   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 12:30, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
I'm sorry I'm not great at it. There's an editor Veera Dheera Sooran who may agree to help you. Kailash29792 (talk) 14:38, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
Did i wait just to read this Kailash!   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:24, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
No, I have asked someone near me to translate; because written Tamil is too pure and prehistoric to understand. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:37, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
Okay. I've requested Veera Dheera Sooran to do it, and if he does not respond within three days, i shall directly use the translations in my second sandbox provided by Ssven2. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 06:39, 9 June 2015 (UTC)

Hey!

Hey! Came back here to a good new that Kaminey Accolades passed FL. Meanwhile, If you could look at this. Thanks!—Prashant 06:40, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

You need to watch the latest edits by Krimuk90. He is back in action. He needs to understand that what he likes is no less than what he hates on wikipedia. Here, fact works and I think this user have been manipulating lot of stuffs here and there. He has given more weightage to mixed reviews in DDD but, I see not a single negative review in Piku or TWMR because these films are by her favorites and DDD has Chopra. I dont care about this fact but, he should be given a lesson.—Prashant 06:57, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Just ARV him, and get it over with! Or discuss the morality of his edits with your other friends. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:03, 7 June 2015 (UTC)

Bots

You are receiving this message because a technical change may affect a bot, gadget, or user script you have been using. The breaking change involves API calls. This change has been planned for two years. The WMF will start making this change on 30 June 2015. A partial list of affected bots can be seen here: https://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikitech-l/2015-June/081931.html This includes all bots that are using pywikibot compat. Some of these bots have already been fixed. However, if you write user scripts or operate a bot that uses the API, then you should check your code, to make sure that it will not break.

What, exactly, is breaking? The "default continuation mode" for action=query requests to api.php will be changing to be easier for new coders to use correctly. To find out whether your script or bot may be affected, then search the source code (including any frameworks or libraries) for the string "query-continue". If that is not present, then the script or bot is not affected. In a few cases, the code will be present but not used. In that case, the script or bot will continue working.

This change will be part of 1.26wmf12. It will be deployed to test wikis (including mediawiki.org) on 30 June, to non-Wikipedias (such as Wiktionary) on 1 July, and to all Wikipedias on 2 July 2015.

If your bot or script is receiving the warning about this upcoming change (as seen at https://www.mediawiki.org/w/api.php?action=query&list=allpages ), it's time to fix your code!

Either of the above solutions may be tested immediately, you'll know it works because you stop seeing the warning.

Do you need help with your own bot or script? Ask questions in e-mail on the mediawiki-api or wikitech-l mailing lists. Volunteers at m:Tech or w:en:WP:Village pump (technical) or w:en:Wikipedia:Bot owners' noticeboard may also be able to help you.

Are you using someone else's gadgets or user scripts? Most scripts are not affected. To find out if a script you use needs to be updated, then post a note at the discussion page for the gadget or the talk page of the user who originally made the script. Mayabazar

Hi Kailash. At Pathala Bhairavi's GAR, Dr. Blofeld suggested me to open a PR for Mayabazar, feeling that it has great potential to become an FA. Will you be a co-nominator along with me and Ssven2 ?   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 03:57, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

I certainly will. But the article will benefit from copyedits by at least three GOCE members. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:59, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
For copyedits, I suggest Eric Corbett, RHM22 or Shahid. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 04:01, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Eric Corbett's block has been extended to two weeks. RHM22 is very busy considering his contributions and replies on his talk page. Shahid is absent since 12 May. Suggest others please! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:15, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
@Pavanjandhyala: Doc himself can give it a thorough copyedit. You can ask him. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 04:22, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
@Ssven2: Are you sure? You asked him to leave comments there. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:36, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
@Pavanjandhyala: We can request him at the PR.  Ssven2 Speak 2 me 04:39, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Okay then. I've requested Bollyjeff and Jaguar to leave comments at the PR (of course by copy-pasting your text).   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 04:41, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Bollyjeff asked me to fix some duplicate links in the 'casting' , 'filming', and and 'music' sections. I don't know how to do that. Can you help me in fixing them? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 05:50, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

I guess WP:CHECKLINKS will help. But better be, if you can't identify the duplicate links, you can strip all the URLs (guess why they are called bare URL's?  ) then use WP:REFLINKS to re-expand them. The tool will also merge duplicate URLs, but only if they are bare. Kailash29792 (talk) 06:02, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
I will be leaving to Dwaraka Tirumala tomorrow early morning and will resume editing Wiki one i will be back on 21st. Till then, please resolve the comments at the PR if any. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 15:08, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Ratha Kanneer

Turning an old movie Chandralekha (1948 film) into featured article is really difficult. I came across this movie Ratha Kanneer. The story was really heart-touching. Thought you might be interested.--Cosmic  Emperor  06:09, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Bro, I'll be starting work on the film tomorrow. Can you send me Ramachandran's info on the film? Thanks.  Ssven2 Speak 2 me 13:44, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Ya sure. But do you have Dhananjayan's info as yet? Kailash29792 (talk) 14:26, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Yes, I do. Both 2011 and 2014 (2014 I print screened from Google preview and 2011 you e-mailed me.) — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 15:11, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Ssven2, I sent you the pages; got them? Kailash29792 (talk) 07:58, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
Yes. Got them. Thanks. I'm expanding the article in my sandbox. — Ssven2 Speak 2 me 10:51, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Thriller

I was listening to a classic by Michael Jackson this morning and the album's title reminds me of your tryst with action "thrillers" in Tamil cinema, including a Shut up! Looks like the obsession for action "thrillers" is refusing to die. What say? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 08:25, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Because I think it has become a habit for Indian audiences to refer to all action films as "action thrillers", which irritates me. I think a film like the Bourne films and Ghajini classify under this genre, and not a film like those starring Vijay and Rajinikanth. Kailash29792 (talk) 09:18, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Not to forget Sigappu Rojakkal and 1: Nenokkadine. BTW, is Vijay that stereotyped? I am really unaware of his image in TN. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 09:26, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi bro, Vijay is famous in Tamilnadu for his action packed roles and has been typecasted in similar roles, he is also criticised for not changing his get up in his films, he looks same in all of his films. Srivin (talk) 09:42, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the info, Srivin. After reading your message, i made a quick check on Google and you are right. He is being criticised for his looks in Puli for the same reason perhaps. Well, what happened to Gabbar Singh? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 09:54, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Well what happened means, i have added references about its TRP and removed few unreliable sources of box office. Regarding TRP, Temper (2015) recently had its tv premiere and enjoyed a good TRP, please add it in the article. Srivin (talk) 10:01, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Where is the reliable source confirming the same? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 10:06, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Sadly not so well known sites have updated the trp of Temper infact 123 Telugu has not updated about this till now. Srivin (talk) 11:34, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Cinderella and Aurora photos

Now that Cinderella is being shown in her original dress colors here on Wikipedia I think Aurora should be shown in the colors she was advertised in. On her page at Disney wikia, she is wearing a blue dress. That was the color of the dress she had for most of her original film and it's even the color of her dress in the Kingdom Hearts series. She was also originally advertised wearing blue. Look at these VHS tapes. [1] [2] Plus, there are these theatrical release posters. [3] [4] She also used to wear it in Disney parks. Heck at the El Capitan Theatre in 2008, she is even advertised wearing blue in the marquee. [5] If we are instead going to base it on the colors, they are being advertised in now, then Cinderella's dress should not be silvery white if Aurora's is pink. Aurora even wore blue during most of Maleficent as well. As for Cinderella no longer wearing the silvery white color, the link has the reason why. Look at the best answer and it kind makes sense. [6] Still, I think Aurora should be shown in her original colors if Cinderella is going to be here on Wikipedia from now on. Sb1990 (talk) 18:21, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

lead section

hello.

In The lead section main information about production design, and visual effects has to be covered. Box office information has to be covered. There is a separate section for production design. I am not adding again and again. Experienced editors like you are expected not to push other editors. Arichuvadi (talk) 12:43, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Cover as much as you want, but please make sure that the lead and infobox DO NOT CONTAIN REFERENCES. They just bloat the article. And you seem to have reverted User:Krimuk90's mature edits, which I must undo; his edits were most superior to yours. Kailash29792 (talk) 12:47, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

hello. sure I will do so. Arichuvadi (talk) 12:48, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

hello. Can I know why you reported edit warring. As u said I am correcting the infobox. please allow some time. Just for the sake of it dont over whelm and push other editors. please message me your concerns.Arichuvadi (talk) 12:54, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

You are (inadvertently) reverting other users' edits while you edit. There must be NO information about the budget in the infobox, and NO references in the lead at all. But you are doing otherwise. There was a user Padmalakshmisx who behaved much like you, and now I am suspicious... Kailash29792 (talk) 12:57, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

hello. I am not doing any harm to the article deliberately. And I dont find any inappropriate messages sent by me above. I hope you are an experienced editor and understand the tone of english better than me. I am not responsible for your suspicions. Arichuvadi (talk) 13:10, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

hello. please message me if you find any problem, and solve the issue here. I am open to your suggestions.Arichuvadi (talk) 13:14, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

90

You know I am feeling so bad right now that how some people befriends administrators and highly respected users to manipulate things. Some people have an agenda that "Live but Not let others live". This is an exact example. This user has made my life a hell. I can guess when you are well-settled and have no worries. But, at least let a person who is studying and still working hard here. I guess that's why this era is called "Kalyug".—Prashant 14:55, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Baahubali

Three major doubts.

  • How come Baahubali - the conclusion shall become a sequel? Technically speaking, Baahubali is a two-part film.
  • Should we create two articles, Baahubali - the Beginning and Baahubali - the conclusion? Or, just Baahubali is recommended?
  • Can we have an article similar to this in the upcoming future for Baahubali also?

Kindly answer these? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:37, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

You may start work on that. Maybe you can rename the section to "Followup". But I am unsure whether there has been any media coverage on the production of Part 2, and that could be an obstacle to creating an article on Part 2. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:42, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
I am not talking about today. Once the conclusion completes its trade, what is the situation? Part 1 and 2's production together can be written similar to that of Ben-Hur's. My concern is, Baahubali may get divided into two citing Viswaroopam and Gangs of Wasseypur as examples. That would give out disastrous results soon. What say? Pavanjandhyala (talk) 16:46, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes that is the best idea. We can create a separate article titled "Production of Baahubali (film)", and it may include production info for both the parts. We can create an article called for Part 2 once its poster and plot details come out, as well as release info. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:57, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
That should be the best idea. Because, Reception and BO figures themselves will eat away the article space to a larger extent. So, After creating "Production of Baahubali (film)", we will add it to both the parts using {{Main|}} template. The existing article of Baahubali will be converted to something like this, with the main articles being linked. All we have to do till then, is to wait till 2017 and make the groundwork from now.

PS : Looks like, we too are turning similar to SSR i.e. one year of pre-production and two years of execution. :P Pavanjandhyala (talk) 17:03, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

This and this could also be our sources of inspiration. BTW, I saw Baahubali the Beginning in Tamil, and I think it was amazing, like a straight Tamil film. Kailash29792 (talk) 17:09, 10 July 2015 (UTC)
You managed to get the tickets? At Hyderabad, stampedes are happening. Thanks to Godavari Pushkaram, i got two tickets on July 13. Let me see what SSR made these three years. Pavanjandhyala (talk) 01:37, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Pavan, behold! Production of Baahubali has been created. Kailash29792 (talk) 18:07, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
Thank you Kailash. Phase 1 begins! Pavanjandhyala (talk) 01:30, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

You saw it? I saw it twice and loved it so so much. Really I was blown away. I have neither seen Magadheera nor Eega, but after this S.S.Rajamouli is one of my favorite directors. All the actors were great, but Ramya Krishnan steals the show. I didnt thought I would like it so much. The music was again a brilliant addition to the film along with the mind boggling cinematography, art direction and VFX. The VFX in two scenes felt very fake that's due to fast frame rate in avalanche scene, But as whole it was by far the best vfx used in indian film. Now, I can't wait for the sequel.—Prashant 05:09, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

You know the answer, and I am sure it will dominate all technical categories in this year's award ceremonies. Kailash29792 (talk) 07:36, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Yep! It will dominate NFA next year. I hope Rajamouli wins NFA Best Director. Filmfare and others are assured. This film deserves everything. By the way, I have downloaded its soundtrack from iTunes and I'm loving it.—Prashant 09:10, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Watched Baahubali: The Beginning today at this theatre. A grand, spectacular and excellent film from Rajamouli! Waiting for Part 2.  Ssven2 Speak 2 me 16:35, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

Kalidas (film)

Tamil cinema task force

Hey there Kailash, I responded at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema/Tamil cinema task force but one thing I noticed was that Enthiran which is a featured article that hasn't been made to the Main page. Maybe make a request for the page to get to the main page which will bring a lot of eyeballs to the article and from there to Indian cinema and perhaps Tamil cinema. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 01:18, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

@Kailash29792: I have made a request here.  Ssven2 Speak 2 me 05:39, 28 July 2015 (UTC)
Already beat me to the punch. I figured it was something easy and simple as a start. I think it would be cool if the lead actor woke up on his 65th birthday and saw that his film was on the front page. Good luck on the next idea then. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 06:44, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

29 July

Wish you many happy returns of the day, bro!!   Pavanjandhyala (talk) 00:59, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

Read the source properly

You thought this news was about Baahubali.

http://movies.ndtv.com/regional/before-baahubali-and-rajamouli-this-man-made-spectacular-films-1201262

Read the article. The heading is misleading but the article is about Vasan and Chandralekha, not about Baahubali. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arindam Skywalkar (talkcontribs) 16:16, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

That is not what I mean. Your edit was unconstructive and written like a 5-year old child, that is why I reverted it. And Chandralekha was reshot in Hindi, not completely dubbed. Kailash29792 (talk) 16:24, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

There must be something new in that news which can be sourced; something that has not yet been mentioned in Wikipedia. I didn't write my own line and modified the existing lines to insert the reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arindam Skywalkar (talkcontribs) 16:31, 29 July 2015 (UTC)

To Kailash(Ghibran)

Hi,

Ghibran doesn't want his personal life to be in wiki and more over differentiating Indians as Tamil/Telugu People. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicstudent.philip (talkcontribs)

ROFLMAO! 😆 You know what this is like? It's like Richard Nixon not wanting information on the Watergate scandal or his resignation to be on Wikipedia! I just can't stop laughing at this statement you gave as the reason for removing that information about Ghibran! 😂 Kailash29792 (talk) 12:17, 30 July 2015 (UTC)

Hey!

Would you please take a look here. Thanks.—Prashant 18:14, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

A gentle reminder. I'll be more than happy.—Prashant 17:47, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
