Italian titles

Ciao! In reference to your recent edit to Andrea Bocelli, I would signal you that Italian titles have no capitals... say, Il mare calmo della sera and NOT Il Mare Calmo Della Sera. Hey... thanks for expanding this. Just giving a heads-up that a consensus at WP:DISCOG was to keep discography tables at 10 columns max. After your additions, the albums table is now at 11 and the singles is at 12. Not sure which albums column to remove (perhaps a note on the talk page to gain consenus?) but I'm thinking maybe the glut of U.S. charts at the end of the singles table can go. Page titles

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Se på mej a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Se på mig. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. The asterix in the German column means that the song charted there, but I don't know what the highest chart positions were for those songs. They are listed on http://www.charts-surfer.de/musiksuche.php?de but that page used to list the positions for the songs, but for some copyright reason it only lists the date of entry and title. Some of those charts are listed on http://www.musicline.de/de/chartverfolgung_summary/artist/Santana/single?sort=entry but the ones with a featured artist are listed on separate entries on that page (and on some occasion only have partial information). I just found the chart positions for "Put Your Lights On" and "Just Feel Better" after a little searching, but the chart positions for "Corazón Espinado", "Dirty Dancin'" and "The Game Of Love" are still missing.

The chart position is taken from the Chart Log UK / Chartwatch site (www.zobbel.de) which lists all the UK chart entries since 1994, even those that listed below the Top 75. On the site http://zobbel.de/cluk/CLUK_P.HTM you can find the chart position for Rhythm & Blues and all other Robert Palmer UK chart entries after 1994. Scroll doen to Palmer on the site as they are listed in alphabetical order.

Led Zeppelin discography

I have nominated this list for FLC but I need the source for this claim: <sup>↑</sup> Due to new UK chart regulations with download sales included on the [[UK Singles Chart|Official UK Singles Chart]], these five classic Led Zeppelin tracks charted on the single chart listed 24.11.2007 (week 46). you added here. What it meant (something like 3 years ago, i believe) was that the songs charted due to download sales, without being released as single releases. As they changed the chart rules in UK at that time in 2007, songs (like album tracks)that previously were ineligible to chart now could do that. The footnote is pretty useless these days as most tracks that chart are due to download sales, but back then in November 2007 the entries would have probably been removed by some other wiki-user who didn't qualify them as "singles" as such. I'm surprised that it's still there, it could be replaced with mentioning them simply as "download2 or something similar.

Bon Jovi discography edit

I saw it on australian-charts.com forum page (http://australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&id=21533&pages=) which lists Australian charts (Kent Music Report/Australian Music Report) pre-1989 (as the ARIA charts listed on the main page on that site started that year). When scrolling down to the entry dated 24/04/2008 15:05 you can find Bon Jovi's Australian chart history pre-1989, and there it's mentioned that "Runaway" nearly missed Top 100 by charting at #105 (i assume it's like with the Billboard's Bubbling Under Chart). If you're not sure about it I guess it can be removed as it actually didn't reach the Top 100.

Sorry, didn't mean to add it without source information. I added it again with offical/reliable source information. BTW, the Australian Albums & Singles Charts include 100 positions on each, but on australian-charts.com they have only licenced the Top 50 positions, which is why there's always a lot of AUS chart positions that are not mentioned in the source provided.

I had assumed, since it was a foreign website, it had nothing to do with the official UK chart. Can you confirm what the chart position was after "Personal Jesus 2011" was physically released as a CD last week? "Personal Jesus 2011" charted at #119 if i remember correctly (have to re-check it), unfortuantely it didn't make it to Top 75. It did however make the Top 40 in Germany, peaking at #36

Thanks for the information on the Australian charts. I had no idea where editors were obtaining chart positions lower than 50. I could never find the proper sources for positions lower than 50, so whenever I come across something I'm editing and don't have a reference for, I remove it, as its unsourced. But now I now where to look.

I must confess that I was not aware that DVD Music Albums could also chart on Audio Album Charts in Germany. While Media Control does provide a separate chart for Music DVDs which happens to be Top-20 only , see it here, I see that AC/DC is currently at No.1 on Media Control DVD chart with Live at River Plate, which is only available on DVD and Blu-ray. But I see that the same DVD album is at No.19 on Media Control audio album chart. And that supports your claim. Therefore, I agree to changing the wording into something like: Note that the listed positions for Concert DVD Eros Roma Live released in 2004 are for German audio albums chart and Swiss audio albums chart. Note that DVD albums / Blu-ray albums (and VHS previously) can chart on Audio Album Chart both in Germany and Switzerland. Regarding the rules of the 2002 which allows the Video Albums to appear on Audio Album Charts, I can't see it on here. Is it mentioned anywhere in Media Control's official site, because it's worth including it at the page of Media Control on wiki. But yes you're right, if it's gone into effect only by 2002, then VHS doesn't have to be stated. As for the way each record's spot on charts is determined, it is quite interesting, that rule went into effect in 2007, but I'm glad they still certify singles and albums based on units sold. Otherwise, they would remind me of the way the Brits use to run their industry before '79. Ok then, I'll be implementing it as we agreed, without the VHS. me again :). Can you find the Australian chart positions in the "Singles" section in Radiohead discography for "Anyone Can Play Guitar", "My Iron Lung", "High and Dry" and "Karma Police". I couldn't find the positions neither in [2] nor in [3]. Do you have a source for those positions? Also I am searching for the Canadian position for "2 + 2 = 5". Chart positions for "Anyone Can Play Guitar", "My Iron Lung", "High and Dry" and "Karma Police" can be found David Kent's "Australian Chart Book (1993–2005)". Australian Chart Book, 2006, Turramurra, N.S.W.. ISBN 0646458892. I've added already this now to Radiohead discography#Singles

A Canadian ref for "2+2=5" I can't seem to find either, or at least a reliable one, only on some music forums which can't be used here as a reference, but I believe it to be correct so it will have to be "unsourced" until someone gives a clear reference.

Anastacia discography

I have reverted your good faith edits as France is considered the fifth largest music market in the world; whereas Austria is only a small market. Please see Global music industry market share data for that information. Besides looking at the chart positions, one needs to look at certifications as well, and also the total figures that certifications combined represent. Anastacia's French certified sales are 1,650,000 (singles and albums combined); however, Anastacia's Austrian certified sales are only 260,000. As you can see there is a huge difference between the two. For full certified sales of Anastacia, please refer to this document that I have put together. I had to revert some of your recent edits as you have supported singles' positions by a Fan made/collected chart data. That source is not a reliable source. That cannot be used anywhere on wikipedia, you can ask the folks at WP:RSN. Also, please leave a brief explanation in edit summary for your edits. While it may be true that some of the positions on it-charts.150m.com are correct, it still doesn't change the fact that it is a Fan made/collected chart data. Therefore, it should not be used. Similarly, positions supported by that very site on other wikipedia pages should be removed as well. Again, you could ask the folks at WP:RSN whether or not it-charts.150m.com should be regarded as reliable only because those positions are not available anywhere else. You could even ask the administrator, Kww who is quite knowledgeable as to what should be accepted for charts. As for Recommended charts, we are currently using Hung Median to support records released after 2000. I understand that hitparadeitalia.it is not the best reliability wise, but neither is it-charts.150m.com as there is no way to be sure whether the positions posted on there are 100% correct. I personally don't mind supporting a few positions with αCharts.us, but if you or others don't agree on using it, we can remove the positions supported by it. FIMI (Sales charts) VS Italiancharts.com: Hung Median (Combination of Sales and Airplay)

We cannot post positions unless they can be verifiable, and the Top-10 archived positions on FIMI cannot help us for positions charted lower than No.10. Also, let me point out that FIMI's Top Digital Download is strictly a sales chart, whereas, the Italiancharts.com is based on Airplay and Sales. For example, Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" has peaked at No.2 on Italiancharts.com (Airplay and Sales), but it has managed to peak only at No.5 on FIMI (Sales). Therefore, we should not get fixated on the idea of regarding the positions posted by acharts.us as incorrect as they are positions based on Sales and Airplay combined. Interesting, I did compare for example Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and "Judas", and as you claimed on my talk page, the positions both on FIMI and Italiancharts.com correlate perfectly. Thanks for that information, I wasn't aware that Italian Music Industry didn't release Physical singles at all, I guess you learn something new everyday. But I don't believe I have ever reverted an edit that didn't deserve to be reverted. I have reverted those edits of yours, the positions in which couldn't have been verified as you didn't provide any actual sources, see this recent edit of yours. I also have reverted such edits of yours which were based on Fan-collected and unreliable sources, see this here . They both clearly deserved to be reverted, don't you agree? As for my own edits, whenever Italiancharts.com has positions available, that is my first choice. I only turn to charts like hitparadeitalia or acharts.us when the former doesn't have positions available. So, is the chart provided by Musica & Dischi (M&D) based on Airplay and Digital Downloads? So basically, the difference within the positions published by FIMI and Musica & Dischi is the fact that the latter doesn't rely on Nielsen Soundscan or the German based research company, GfK International, but it relies on Shipment method and also Sales submitted non-electronically by retailers. Where have you read this information? Also, how do you know that GfK International relies on sales or/and scanned data from Monday to Sunday, whereas the Nielsen Soundscan system relied on data from Friday to Saturday? I don't mean to question your knowledge, I'm just curious if FIMI does offer this information on their site. Let me ask you something, would you happen to know of an article or a page on FIMI that provides detailed changes of their certification-award-levels for every period that FIMI lowered its Gold/Platinum levels. Since I don't have their detailed changes, I always end up turning to Billboard like articles such as this and this. I'm wondering if there is such an article either on FIMI (besides this) or elsewhere which offers all of the level-changes on one page, like Bundesverband Musikindustrie has this for Germany's certification-levels.
