It worked well and the information is very useful, as the Australian information in many cases of notifications of shipping passing through certain ports is the name and tonnage and thats it - thanks for your explanation - it makes sense, and is appreciated. JarrahTree 01:51, 6 November 2021 (UTC)

I'm not sure which of the two is best to be used in this WP article. The press reports all seem to use the higher figure, so perhaps that's what should be used here? Need to find a WP editor who is an expert on 19th century shipping. Kahuzi (talk) 07:09, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
