Happy 2010

Thanks for your note :)...Modernist (talk) 03:08, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

I was only just getting over it not being the 90s any more, and now a new decade? Humbug. What the hell is this one called anyway. Where is my walking stick. Ceoil (talk) 03:15, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
The teenage years! The best is yet to come! Kafka Liz (talk) 03:19, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Well some of them were teenage years. Ulp! Ceoil (talk) 03:22, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Nah, the teenage years of the century. Kafka Liz (talk) 03:26, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
Not that I care by now. Its all about slippers and turf these days. Ceoil (talk) 03:37, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

Vincent

Myself and Modernist are going to go on a big push for Vincent van Gogh to FA over the next few weeks. I'm mindful of F&f's comments that FAC topics tend towards the remote and that larger, more visited pages are usually too difficult to be brought over the line and are thus neglected. It would need a lot of hard work and a good team to take it. So I'm asking. Interested? Ceoil sláinte 16:59, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Possibly. Kafka Liz (talk) 02:33, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey there

Hi, Kafka Liz, I just happened to see you around and realized I hadn't talked to you in a while, so I thought I'd drop by and say hi. Not on Wikipedia as much as in the past, but there's always time to say hi to others, no? Hope things are going well for you. Heimstern Läufer (talk) 16:08, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi, Heimstern - what a nice surprise to get a message from you! My life has been a bit strange of late, to be honest... That said, I'm hoping the worst of it is at an end, and that I'll be able to spend more time here again. Hope all is well your end, Kafka Liz (talk) 21:36, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
Or maybe the worst of it is just beginning if you actually want to spend more time here! Sorry if that sounds like I'm being flippant about something that might be serious - I'm not intending that. I hope whatever is wrong becomes right and we get to see more of your always calm and sensible edits. Meowy 03:35, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
Hah. Sad, perhaps, but being here would restore a certain degree of much-needed equilibrium. Make of that what you will. ;) Kafka Liz (talk) 21:07, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

Your opinion

is needed, especially here: [1]...Modernist (talk) 16:33, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Funny, I'd never guessed you were quite so hirsute. Kafka Liz (talk) 21:08, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
It's just when I howl at the moon :)...Modernist (talk) 21:24, 23 March 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry

I wanted to apologize for my email a while ago... I'm sure you have plenty of your own problems, and it was imbecilic of me to fling all of that at you, especially with the tone I did. Lithoderm 02:36, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Lith - you have absolutely nothing to apologise for. I've been in a rough state for several months now and was feeling... damaged at the time I last contacted you. I'm probably the one who ought to apolgise to you. I owe you (and many others) an email, I believe, and will follow up shortly. Kafka Liz (talk) 20:53, 28 March 2010 (UTC)
Whatever about the above, Liz, you are missed. Ceoil (talk) 20:14, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, my friends. I'm working on stuff... Happy Easter/late Passover (choose yer favourite)... Kafka Liz (talk) 00:18, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

And about time too. Hope you celebrated your day with wine and flowers and were not too bothered by gentlemen of the press. Ceoil (talk) 00:22, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Well deserved...Modernist (talk) 03:56, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Bit embarrassed. :) Thanks, all. Kafka Liz (talk) 01:14, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Venice

Liz, this is a very interesting opposite to the img on you user page[2]. The track has one of the best bass lines I've ever heard, I could dissapear into it - Sly and Robbie. Ceoil (talk) 21:03, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Karanacs (talk) 17:37, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Gaiman and Clute

Welcome to Wikipedia.

Please desist in vandalizing the Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell article. I have removed a section about the opinions of one Clute as they relate to a statement by Mr Gaiman because Mr Gaiman's statement needs no clarification, much less by another author.

To put it more simply, the fact that Clute thinks Gaiman's statement is hyperbole or untrue is neither here nor there in terms of relevance to the novel's article. If you feel the statement is notable, you're free to add it to Clute's own article.

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, but you may wish to make yourself familiar with Wikipedia's Policies and Guidelines before continuing to make changes to the enyclopaedia.

Thank you for your advice. Kafka Liz (talk) 22:53, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
I will repeat my instruction to desist your vandalism. Whether or not Gaiman meant exactly what he said or not, Clute's "clarification" does not contribute to the article.
His opinion of the book could be mentioned under "reception", but his rather arrogant statements on what another author actually meant to say are not relevant.

Edward I of England - Coronation Chair Image

I note that you inserted italics for a book title. Fine, but this is in the middle of a File link! I.e., it invalidates the link, because the file's name includes the book title in plain text. This is a horribly named file, IMO, but that's what it is. Please do not modify or the link is broken. I removed the formatting. Thanks. --Albany45 (talk) 12:18, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey Liz, long time no talk. If you have some time to spare, I have an early modernist for ya that could do with a skilled copyeditor, Ezra Pound. There is a tragic story here, and lots of room for the kind of pathos you brought to the Lucy poems. All I can offer in return is crumbs by post, and this lovely song[3]. How bad is that? Ceoil (talk) 10:58, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Maybe a day late and a dollar short, but are you still looking for a hand? Kafka Liz (talk) 23:54, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. A day late is fine, a dollar short not so much. But fine, if you have the time and energy. Hope all is well. Ceoil (talk) 20:37, 9 September 2010 (UTC)

Attila

hi Kafka Liz, could you please look at Attila article, there are some problems about pictures. some users want to remove historical pics from article. after i solved copyright problems (which was their first reason about removing), the iconography problem seems to become their second reason. thanks.--Finn Diesel (talk) 13:05, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Sure and it's my pleasure

Happy to be of help. Excellent work - happy editing! --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:43, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Grazie again, Ser Amantio. Kafka Liz (talk) 01:45, 29 October 2010 (UTC)

Oh to be a work of art!

LingNut, at the risk of offending some of my friends, this is one of the loveliest (and also amusing) links I have received here. Please forgive my delayed response... I believe I owe you an email, and this will be forthcoming. Kafka Liz (talk) 21:26, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
