November 2009 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Hey! Say! JUMP. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. MS (Talk|Contributions) 06:43, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Alice Nine. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. MS (Talk|Contributions) 07:15, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Arashi, you will be blocked from editing. MS (Talk|Contributions) 08:06, 27 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

February 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to TVXQ. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. MS (Talk|Contributions) 12:40, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Toma Ikuta. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. MS (Talk|Contributions) 11:40, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Hideaki Takizawa, you will be blocked from editing. MS (Talk|Contributions) 11:29, 25 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with Hideaki Takizawa, you will be blocked from editing. There is no indication that Music Japan is a WP:RS. Your username is an advertisement of your site and by adding sources solo based off of your site IS advertising. MS (Talk|Contributions) 03:02, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Username and conflict of interest concerns edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the username you have chosen seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of a group, company or website.

There are two issues with this:

  1. You may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, you must exercise great caution when editing on topics related to your organization.
  2. Your account cannot represent a group of people. You may wish to create a new account with a username that represents only you. Alternatively, you may consider changing your username to avoid giving the impression that your personal account is being used for promotional purposes.

Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the policy to not edit in a conflict of interest. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, Kaeimusicjapan, may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because Your username could be considered to be the name of a group of people, due to your contributions promoting specific sites. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Best Regards, NativeForeigner Talk/Contribs 03:54, 26 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! It's totally OK for me to change the username. Because my current username is based on my nick+my interest(music)+my location(japan). And it happens to be similar to some reference site I am using in editing wikipedia page. However I don't think I can represent the group because these three words are often used in people's life. It if is OK I am willing to delete the part "music" and "Japan" in the username. Please be kind to inform me how to change the username. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaeimusicjapan (talkcontribs) 5:06, 5 March 2010(UTC)

Instructions on how to change your username are provided in the two messages above. Please make sure that you also read the line that says "Regardless of whether you change your name or create a new account, you are not exempted from the policy to not edit in a conflict of interest" again very carefully. --DAJF (talk) 12:13, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

March 2010 edit

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with Arashi, you will be blocked from editing. --DAJF (talk) 11:02, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

By the way, if posting a news is advertising, isn't it advertising, too? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arashi#cite_ref-10thyrtour_62-0 "Arashi celebrates 10 years with best album, tour". Tokyograph. 2009-06-25. http://www.tokyograph.com/news/id-4970. Retrieved 2009-09-02. Because we are doing the same thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaeimusicjapan (talkcontribs) 11:33, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
No it is not advertising . Due to your user name and the source you provide which are very similar, it is considered advertisement especially since that is the only source you add to articles. MS (Talk|Contributions) 11:46, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! That means if I change my user name and post other links at the same time, the links won't be considered as advertising, right? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaeimusicjapan (talkcontribs) 11:49, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Changing your user name to make it different from the source you add does help. If you add other sources, like something from Tokyograph or a Japanese media site then it won't be considered advertising. However, it does not do much if you still post the same musicjapan link because it still means you have a conflict of interest and you are still trying to promote musicjapan, which may not be a WP:RS. MS (Talk|Contributions) 12:08, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to ask why news from musicjapanplus are prohibited? It's also one of the reliable news resources on Jpop and Jrock. It's not noncommercial and officially operated by registered company in Japan. All contents are original and are indexed in google news.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaeimusicjapan (talkcontribs) 12:28, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

The problem I see is that a person connected with the site is indiscriminately posting "news" snippets to various articles for the purpose of advertising the musicjapanplus site. As has been pointed out to you before, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising your website. --DAJF (talk) 12:41, 2 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of MusicJapanplus edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is MusicJapanplus. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/MusicJapanplus. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 17 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, Kaeimusicjapan, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:

  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -- Cirt (talk) 02:08, 29 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
