Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, KNTTR. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Airtel Payments Bank, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 11:12, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

My dear friend GermanJoe where did you find the links that i am a paid contributor. Is editing an article proves that i am a paid user? KNTTR (talk)
Hello KNTTR, the original message was meant as advice "just in case" for a possible COI (although the template could make that a bit clearer). Unfortunately the addition of promotional quotes about this "boon for residents" and extensive price details gave the impression of a possible connection to the topic. In any case, please make sure to read WP:PROMO and WP:NPOV - Wikipedia should provide information as uninvolved and encyclopedic as possible. If you have any further questions, I suggest to ask for Wikipedia-related advice at WP:Teahouse (a forum for new editors). Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 12:09, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
The quotes are not my words, those are coming from news links https://www.livemint.com/Industry/FxxxxsTZvCQuJt4I90upnK/Airtel-Payments-Bank-to-be-launched-today.html and https://www.business-standard.com/article/companies/airtel-payments-bank-goes-live-with-pilot-project-in-rajasthan-116112300714_1.html . And Price details are also mentioned on many news websites https://www.livemint.com/Industry/fcR6oefmVxL8A8rzVB4TJK/Airtel-launches-Indias-first-payments-bank.html KNTTR (talk) 12:19, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Nevertheless such quotations of PR statements from public events, politicians and involved businesspeople are inappropriate for an encyclopedia - even if sourced. Wikipedia is not a business magazine or newspaper. And price details should be provided on the bank's own website, not in an encyclopedic project. GermanJoe (talk) 12:32, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Dear GermanJoe, Thanks and i agreed on your points. KNTTR (talk) 09:54, 18 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Yair Aguiar

edit

The article Yair Aguiar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable boxer does not meet WP:NBOX

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
