Signing your posts edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --Orange Mike | Talk 02:11, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

We cannot tell the future edit

Wikipedia is not a place to put speculation about projects that may or may not come to pass. If a school is built, then it may become notable enough to have an article written about it; but mere speculation about the possibility of such a thing is not notable enough to get an article in an encyclopedia. --Orange Mike | Talk 02:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ditto. WP:CRYSTAL, please. And may I also recommend WP:PUNCT and Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style#Grammar? (This is reference to Mountain House edit 283895286, among others.) Michael Patrick (talk) 20:04, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mountain View Academy High school edit

A tag has been placed on Mountain View Academy High school, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi K.w 2009. I declined the speedy deletion nomination of the above article after altering some of the text. Just so you know, our articles need to be encyclopedic and "neutral" – so terms like "our classes and group advising help provide a strong academic ground for students", is often considered to be promotional. A lot of newer editors get a bit confused by this at first, so don't feel bad. :-) If you have questions, let me know and I'd be happy to help. JamieS93 01:51, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Emery Secondary School edit

I have nominated Emery Secondary School, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Emery Secondary School. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Drawn Some (talk) 02:31, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Emeryville Center of Community Life ECCl.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 19:07, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mountains Edge edit

I get the impression that you are either a student or and employee of the developed. Please cite you information and please make encyclopedic changes only. If this continues, you will probably be considered as a vandal which is supported by your edit history. Vegaswikian (talk) 04:41, 10 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Overall your edits are looking more like copy violations, spam and sales pitches with violations of WP:N, WP:RS, WP:COI, WP:V and many other issues. Please start citing facts and stop writing sales pitches in all of your articles. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:58, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
