3RR warning edit

Please be aware of WP:3RR. Your edits to my talk page were unwelcome, so I removed them. I previously advised you twice that I didn't want to hear from you there again. Please read WP:TPG and consider WP:CIVIL. --hippo43 (talk) 22:40, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, please don't edit war on another user's talk page. They can remove any discussion they'd like, for any reason. Dayewalker (talk) 22:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your thought, guys. I'm aware of WP:3RR, WP:TPG and WP:CIVIL: I consider that I'm surfing on a wave of joy with all these. Of course, I'm delighted to engage in a discussion with anyone - in the particular instance of hippo43 I'm simply surprised to see a person so obviously willing to engage in debate so readily delete discussion from his talk page. One must wonder why. I suppose it would be rude to speculate. Jvt2111 (talk) 23:47, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Talk Pages edit

Please don't copy large sections of other user's talk pages to your own. When you do that, you copy comments from other users, which makes it confusing to anyone who looks at your page. If a user didn't comment on your page, please don't place their comment there and make it look as if they did.

If you want to refer to those conversations, you can always do so with a DIFF, as you can see here. [1] That diff is a link showing what the talk page looked like before the comments were deleted. That's one of the reasons why users are allowed to delete anything they want from their pages, the comments are always available in the History of the page. Agreed: please forgive me just a pinch of facetiousness in these circumstances. I've never seen such an extensive user page deleted without comment or consideration. 125.237.191.152 (talk) 08:54, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

It happens all the time. Dayewalker (talk) 09:05, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
