Similarity of edits to J-Man11

edit

Dear Justyouraverageme, I have noticed your sudden start to editing just as soon as J-Man11 was blocked, and similar topics/pages. I would like to politely remind you that WP:SOCKing, operating of multiple accounts, is strictly forbidden. If you have started editing after having been blocked as a user under a different name, I would like to invite you to cease and desist immediately; Wikipedia has checks which are quite capable of detecting such double-identity editing. Peacemaker67, Kges1901, opinions please? Informing also for information only Thewolfchild, and Sammartinlai. Buckshot06 (talk) 16:31, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Quack, quack... - wolf 16:54, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Agree, the interests are way too similar and British orbats are pretty idiosyncratic. Kges1901 (talk) 18:35, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
With that backing behind me, I would like to invite you to cease and desist from using this account for editing, effective immediately. Otherwise administrative action will be taken. Buckshot06 (talk) 20:47, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sorry but am I doing something wrong if I'm doing something similar to someone? Justyouraverageme (talk) 21:23, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Only if you are the same person that used to edit with the J-Man11 account... - wolf 21:36, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
I honestly do know who that is, because he made a lot of edits, but I have no affiliation with him.. Justyouraverageme (talk) 22:24, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
Ah-ha! Denial is always the first sign that they're socking! - wolf 07:10, 17 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Blocked

edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 22:33, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm being banned for being 'apparently' affiliated with someone who I don't even know Justyouraverageme (talk) 22:35, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

No, you're blocked because you're using the exact same computer and IP address as J-Man11. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:54, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@J-Man11:/Justyouraverageme... Dude, maybe you didn't know they have ways of knowing if you're socking from the same IP addresss. The best thing you can do now is apologize for both the socking and the lying about it. Disclose any all accounts you have, or if you also edited while using IP accounts. You have to promise to never, ever sock or block evade again. Then say what, if unblocked, you will do to help build the project. What areas will you edit in? No more creating needless articles. Promise you will always respond to others on talk pages, with prompt, detailed replies. Promise you will learn what proper sourcing is, that you will find it and add it correctly when needed. And I strongly suggest you agree to be mentored. Do all this, and maybe, just maybe... you might be unblocked. No guarantees though. Read through WP:GAB, and as of right now, no more socking and no more lying. Good luck - wolf 07:10, 17 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

I would kindly and specially invite you to cease and desist editing this page until you have fully mastered the practice of using WP:RELIABLE sources and WP:CITATIONs. Please do not edit this page. Buckshot06 (talk) 16:42, 16 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
