Iraqi Turkmen edit

Iraqi Turkmen do not come from Turkmenistan! Why do you keep putting them into the Turkmen people artile? That article is for people from Turkmenistan... do you not understand this? Iraqi Turkmen are people from the Seljuk and Ottoman Empire... they did not migrate from Turkmenistan. Justinz84 (talk) 16:26, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

They don't necessarily have to "come from Turkmenistan" (did the Yörük Türkmens in Anatolia come from Turkmenistan?) The Iraqi Turkmens are the descendants of the Seljuk Turkmens who conquered Iran, Iraq and Syria before conquering Anatolia in 1071. Pantepoptes (talk) 02:13, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
No they are the descendants of the Sljuks and the Ottomans. The majority migrated to Iraq during the ruling of the Ottomans. Why dont you read Iraqi Turkmen sources for yourself? Such as: http://www.kerkuk.net/kurumsal/?dil=2057&metin=20 and http://www.kirkuk.us/index.php?action=Definition%20of%20the%20Turkmen Justinz84 (talk) 12:49, 26 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

WP:NPOV edit

Please don't remove sources. Please don't exaggerate the number of ethnic Turkish. Thank you. Takabeg (talk) 00:18, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stop calling Turkish people Turkiyeli Turkleri. I am a TURKISH CYPRIOT but I am not from Turkey! Your edits are extremely offensive. I will keep a watch on this article. I am willing to discuss this with you on the discussion page if you wish but if you continue to make offensive edits like this I will have to ask for the article to be protected once again.Justinz84 (talk) 08:48, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Of course we know it. Turkish people living in Cyprus are also Türkiye Türkleri, Turkish people living in Iraq, Iraqi government gave the name of Turkmen. Why offensive ? All of my edits are source-based. Please don't remove sources ! Takabeg (talk) 12:29, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Turkish Cypriots are NOT from the Republic of Turkey. What is wrong with you? Turkey was established as a republic in 1923. Turks have been living in the island of Cyprus since 1570. WE ARE NOT from the Republic of Turkey but we are Turkish.Justinz84 (talk) 17:24, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

We know. Anyway you cannot remove identifying reliable sources. Please stop vandalism ! Takabeg (talk) 17:27, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well if you know then why do you still insist on calling us Turkey Turks. We are not from the Republic of Turkey but we are Turkish. Thus, your term 'Turkiyeli Turks' ie 'Turkey Turks' is wrong and actually offensive.Justinz84 (talk) 17:33, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
We use neither "Turkey Turks" nor "Turkiyeli Turks" in English. But in Turkish language we use Türkiye Türkleri for Turkish people. And I added Türkler too. Yani eski Osmanlı coğrafiyasında yaşayan veya oradan göç etmiş olan etnik Türk manasında Türkiye Türkleri terimini kullanıyoruz. Türkiyeli Türkler dersek Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde ikamet eden veya oradan göç etmiş olan etnik Türk oluyor. Anlatabildim mi ? Takabeg (talk) 17:42, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
I understand exactly what you are saying but you are still wrong. We are not from the Republic of Turkey and are therefore not 'Turkey Turks' as you seem to put it. A person does not have to be born in Turkey to be Turkish.Justinz84 (talk) 17:46, 2 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have noted all names like Kıbrıs Türkleri. Is it OK now? Kavas (talk) 14:16, 19 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stop reverting number of Turks in Bulgaria edit

Stop removing referenced material it is vandalism!Justinz84 (talk) 23:26, 18 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

List of massacres in Turkey edit

Hello, I am writing this to you in order to inform you that some Turkish-related articles have for quite some time been hijacked by a group of editors whose only goal, it seems, is to negatively portray the Republic of Turkey, its predesseccors and its people as warmongerming murderers. This has especially become a problem in the article of List of massacres in Turkey where they only allow information about Turks killing others, and delete all reliabely sourced information about massacres against Turks/Muslims. By doing WP:OR, discrediting sources and authors, source falsification, distortion and tag bombing.

Sources which state the number of Muslims casualties during the Greco-Turkish war is persistently being deleted.

Your help is needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.178.77.28 (talk) 20:24, 26 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Cansel Elçin edit

The article Cansel Elçin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article has just one source what doesn't grant notability to him.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
