Welcome

edit

Hello, and welcome to contributing to Wikipedia. I hope you will have a successful time here. However, the couple of edits you have made so far make it look as though you may be intending to post fiction, or things you have made up, but that isn't what Wikipedia is for, so please don't. I am posting you some links to various guidelines, policies, and information pages, which I hope may help you to get started. Don't try to read all of them before you start editing, because there's far too much there, but do have a look at any that look as though they may be helpful, and of course you can look at more of them later if you need to. 1. I told you that Wikipedia is not for posting fiction, but you went ahead and did so anyway. Secretlondon then told you that we didn't need your fiction, but you carried on anyway. You may have started out thinking that posting fiction would be acceptable, but by the time you had been told twice you knew that it isn't.
  2. You copied much of the text of the page you created from another website, without following the copyright terms of that website. It is almost always unacceptable to post material to Wikipedia that is copied from another website, for copyright reasons. Even those websites which do allow copying often have rules that must be followed if you copy their material.
You are very welcome to start making useful contributions to the encyclopaedia if you would like to, but if you carry on editing in unacceptable ways you will be blocked from editing by an administrator. JBW (talk) 08:19, 27 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
