Blocked for sockpuppetry edit

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JustSomeone08. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Girth Summit (blether) 16:08, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi - further to the above, I want to explain that while it is acceptable in some cases to operate more than one account, it is not acceptable to do so while editing the same pages unless you make a clear declaration about the connection between the accounts on your userpage, and it is never acceptable to edit war, whether using one account or several. This account has been temporarily blocked, and the other account has been indefinitely blocked; when the block expires, you need to refrain from edit warring, and from using multiple accounts. Thank you. Girth Summit (blether) 16:11, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi,
I intervened because I am native of there and moreover the sources that this person asked have been put.
So all the people who have the nickname Someone and Somebody are the same?
So two family members can't contribute to Wikipedia? JustSomeone08 (talk) 22:31, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
I believe that you would be looking at something like Template:User shared IP address, but I would leave this to Girth Summit and other CheckUsers. Regardless, you should not edit war (period) or coordinate between accounts/people (see WP:MEATPUPPET) and should be fully transparent from the start if that were the case that they were another family member or someone who you may occasionally share an IP address with. TheSandDoctor Talk 05:50, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi TheSandDoctor,

Thank you but it's no longer useful to specify that I share my IP address with Somebody040404. Somebody040404 has been permanently blocked. Following this block Somebody040404 has decided to stop contributing to Wikipedia. JustSomeone08 (talk) 16:20, 11 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message edit

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:48, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

When citing, please also describe the nature of the source edit

Hello. When citing, for example Special:Diff/1157045246 in Kingdom of Loango, please also describe the nature of each source, such as journal title, name of author, date, operator of the website, etc. Wikipedia:Citing sources and Wikipedia:Bare URLs explains why and how. Please add an edit summary when editing. edit

Hey! I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made on Kongo people and Kongo religion did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting PreferencesEditing →  Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! MiddleOfAfrica (talk) 21:38, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
