Because what? Posting your resume (even on your own user page) is essentially a form of advertising of yourself. You are free to post on your userpage information that is relevant to your contributions to Wikipedia, but not a full resume that implies you are hoping to find a job through Wikipedia. Notable residents

I have reverted this edit because none of the people listed as "notable" actually are. Lists of "Notable people" in Wikipedia articles about places are not to be used to list the various people who might be well known in the town, but rather to list people from the town who already have Wikipedia articles or merit one. If you tried to create an article on any of the people you named in that edit, they would likely be deleted immediately for lack of notability.
