- More likely an attempt to delete the article - I think it would have been more helpful to provide a link to Wikipedia:Contact us - Subjects. Peter James (talk) 22:33, 5 December 2017 (UTC)

- No, articles are more often deleted for lack of notability or verifiability, and I'm not certain that the article satisfies Wikipedia:Notability (sports). Whether the subject requests deletion is relevant - it's mentioned in Wikipedia:Deletion policy#Deletion of biographies and BLPs. Peter James (talk) 23:42, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
