No, articles are more often deleted for lack of notability or verifiability, and I'm not certain that the article satisfies Wikipedia:Notability (sports). Whether the subject requests deletion is relevant - it's mentioned in Wikipedia:Deletion policy#Deletion of biographies and BLPs. Peter James (talk) 23:42, 5 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
