Because traditionally we have always only added leagues following consensus, but NFOOTBALL is being reformed anyway. GiantSnowman 07:04, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey there. Apologies about stealing your thunder by putting that article up. I hadn't seen you were working on a draft (honestly the whole draft system seems a bit half-cocked to me anyway). Thanks for adding in the extra detail.

Are there any other NYCFC II players you've been working on drafts for? Falastur2 Talk 10:01, 15 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

No worries at all! I dont mind! Since this was my first article and I was having some trouble getting it published I had held off on working on any others until my first article was approved. Now that it was (technically haha) I am going to try and see if there is enough data for Jonathan Jiminez and I see that Samuel Owusu already has one as well. I know that the football notability guidelines are against MLS Next Pro players getting articles right now so if you are willing to help me with them I would love to work on a couple of the people signed to NYCFC 2 professionally! Also, I had a question, I was trying to edit the score from the recent NYCFC game against Seattle Sounders and noticed that the losses show up shaded red and the wins show up shaded green, but was unable to replicate it. Any tips on how to do that? If its too complicated to explain no worries, just know you're experienced so figured I'd throw that question out there Jstreeter2 (talk) 16:23, 15 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ah yes, the endless argument over what counts as notable and what doesn't. I took a look on the notability criteria for footballers again and, while there is a comment there saying that that rule has been superseded by standard notability guidelines, I notice that the standard notability guidelines contain no special clauses for footballers. I find that to be utter nonsense - you can't have special rules for cricket and handball but say nothing about the world's most popular sport - so I intend to keep making articles under the old guidelines. If someone tries deleting them, then I'll start worrying about what is justified and what isn't.
Regarding your question, the way to fix that is with the "result" field. In the template is a row which will start with | result = . You can put either "W", "D" or "L" after it (for Win, Draw, Loss) and it will colour-code it accordingly. I've asked on the template about different colours for Won On Penalties and Lost On Penalties, since that is the standard which MLS Next Pro and several other competitions uses, but so far no-one has shown an interest so I guess they'll continue being coded as draws for now.
One other comment - I of course was able to see your message by coming back to look for it, but if you want to alert someone to the fact that you have responded, start your message off with {{ping|<their username>}} (where "<their username>" is obviously replaced with their actual username). This will give them a system alert to inform them of your response, and it will help to make sure they see your comment and respond faster. I'm particularly bad at not noticing messages if there's no alert, for instance! Alternatively you can place your reply on their own talk page, but that breaks up the conversation and makes it harder to read, so a lot of people prefer to keep it all in one place as you've done here.
Otherwise, if you have any questions I'm happy to answer. I'm not the most experienced person around - I'm a fairly casual editor ultimately - but I've got a good few years under my belt and have seen a few things in my time, and I'm always happy to help new editors get started.
