Per university instruction

edit

Hey thanks for the edits you have been making on the Kent State University Stark Campus article. One caution, though, is to avoid making edits "per university instruction." In other words, do them as a private editor, not as an agent/employee of Kent State University as neither KSU nor the Stark Campus have any ownership over the contents of this article. It is a Wikipedia article about Kent State Stark, so all Wikipedia editors have just as much right to edit (with proper sources of course!) as a student or employee of KSU or KSU-Stark. The University editing this page directly is a violation of Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest Policy. This article continues to be in bad shape because so many editors are unfamiliar with Wikipedia policies and continue to act as if Kent State Stark has some sort of ownership over the article. Also, when placing citations in the text, please use the appropriate citation templates instead of just placing the website link. Any questions, please ask! Happy editing --JonRidinger (talk) 21:27, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Really, as long as you act on your own as an editor, you should be safe. Look up WP:NOT when you have a chance too. --JonRidinger (talk) 21:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
