Image copyright problem with Image:WhiteRiver1914.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:WhiteRiver1914.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. --the iBook of the Revolution 22:37, 29 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of geopolitical simulators edit

Good that you have taken interest in govsims/nationsims, but that is the purpose of your article? If you read the discussions on the govsim and nationsim pages, you will see that there have already been great controversy regarding the lists and therefore there's a concensus that any lists should be kept off-site.

As for your list, nationstates and choose your government aren't geopolitical simulators. Since you cannot interact with other nations. Last Crusade and Growing nations are dead, and have been dead a very long time and even when they were active they were hardly notable. I know, I played one of them (the one that has more then 10 posts). Itake 04:04, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging for Image:BroadRippleAve.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BroadRippleAve.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image Tagging Image:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Personal attacks edit

Please do not use your user page to launch personal attacks against other editors. I've removed the mention of Itake, and his insulting rebuttal to it, from your user page to prevent this escalating any further. If you want to contest the deletion of this article, take it to WP:DRV. If you've got off-site problems with this editor, try to keep them off-site. --Sam Blanning (formerly Malthusian) (talk) 21:37, 31 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't think of it. I just like to ask questions that may have unwanted answers in the minds of those they are directed.

What list? edit

You sent me a message about a list I created being up for deletion. What list are you talking about? Please let me know, Thanks. -- FPAtl (holla) 16:42, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

You also told me a list I created List of art magazines was/is up for deletion and recommended some other wiki. Don't mistake my vigourous defence at AfD for creation - I've never even edited List of art magazines. If you want to copy it over, feel free. WilyD 18:22, 30 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks but it will be better if you voted against deleting the list. Thanks.--Andromeda 20:39, 30 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

License plates edit

Well, thanks for your vote of confidence, but I've been in some many relevence fights that I usually just sit it out and assume the winning side is correct. Some of my really cool stuff has survived, though - just look at List of fictional Elvis impersonators. -Litefantastic 22:02, 30 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

RfC requests edit

I've added a notability tag to Evolution Diet and posted a request to the closest appropriate RfC section I could find (here). In the circustances, this seems to be the best method to provide community input on some of your self-created articles. Please feel free to add any comments there. - David Oberst 15:26, 31 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of X-Play characters edit

I simply created the article because the list was growing too large in the main X-Play article. If it should be moved to Wikicites, so be it. Thanks for the heads up though. ~ Hibana 01:05, 8 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Read WP:3RR, it's illegal to revert four or more times, not three in a 24 hour period, I protected the page because of many users revert warning on it. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 21:52, 23 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please help - inclusionism is "absurb" now edit

Sorry to bother you, but as an Inclusionist wikipedia things are getting desperate and I need to appeal to your for help. We are facing a situation where a deletionist admin is free to declare inclusionist arguments "absurd" and ignore them at will. If you don't agree with this situation, please share your opinion here. Sockpuppetry case edit

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Jsmorse47 for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. Pascal.Tesson 23:55, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please leave it alone edit

Hi. It seems you are quite angry at me and Wmahan in particular about the whole EL business. Actually, I understand that but I think it would be better for everyone if you just stopped the puppetry and simply accepted that beyond what you believe to be a personnal vendetta on our part, there are a large number of other editors who have supported our position after reviewing the facts. I really don't feel that it's doing anyone any good to continue with endless talk page discussions. I for one consider the matter closed and this is the last you'll hear from me here or on the talk pages. Cheers. Pascal.Tesson 23:29, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:3sum_newcans2.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:3sum_newcans2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 06:16, 7 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

You maybe interested in the Article Rescue Squadron edit

Hello, Jsmorse47. Based on the templates on your talk page, I would like you to consider joining the Article Rescue Squadron. Rescue Squadron members are focused on rescuing articles for deletion, that might otherwise be lost forever. I think you will find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with no fair use rationale uploaded after May 4, 2006 which has been tagged as not having a rationale for more than 7 days.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Fair use rationale for File:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Possibly unfree File:MorseStatue.jpg edit

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:MorseStatue.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. Proposed deletion of Diesel Energy Drink edit

The article Diesel Energy Drink has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unreferenced product article of unclear notability, tagged for notability and refs since 2009

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Orphaned non-free image File:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Diesel can 16 photo angled.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:19, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
