The subject area is quite interesting as it allows to connect the work from different eras of psychological research. It seems to me that the article`s impact on the reader can be enhanced by either elaborating with more detail on single line entries or, alternatively, by pulling such entries together under a single heading. The history section at the beginning could be supplemented with explicit statement of years when the milestone occurred.Victoria Boateng (talk) 03:44, 3 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm not able to find the exact year when Galton actually discovered word association. I can tell you that Galton wrote his paper on the topic in 1879, but I'm not sure if he wrote the paper in the same year that he actually created it. Jpstudent (talk) 19:13, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

In terms of content, I think you covered a good amount and coherent understanding of your topic. However, there are some issues I noticed while reading. First, you need a main title "Word Association" at the top of your page! Also, the first section where you define “word association” is a little unclear and you could have provided an example. Third, the average reader probably won’t know what you were talking about when referring to Sir Francis Galton as “he was strolling down Pall Mall in London.” The average reader that does not live in London, ON may not be aware of where/what Pall Mall is – would be helpful to indicate it is a street and that this is in London, ON. Lastly, when you provided examples for each of the 3 association classifications, perhaps they should be a new sentence on their own (i.e. “For example, people may associate “happiness” with other words, such as “elation” or “joy”). (I'd rather not change this, as I think that it flows better as is.)Jpstudent (talk) 19:13, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Some other minor issues noticed:

  • Once you make the acronym for Word Association Test – “WAT”, you should subsequently use it in the same section, instead of spelling out the whole name.

  • Maybe substitute “Posner and a group of reasearchers…” with “Posner and his colleagues.”

  • Punctuation and grammar needs some work.
