Please do not add or change content, as you did at Lifford Greyhound Stadium, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. 10mmsocket (talk) 08:06, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry, I tried to add citation but possibly did it wrong. I need to get some of this information changed as I work for Lifford Greyhound Stadium and we have changed the days that we operate. Can I cite our own web site to verify this or should I cite an alternative news site? I was charged with trying to get this info updated, none of us really understand but I am trying to learn, thanks, Jpmagee2 (talk) 09:29, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
No worries. Take a look at WP:COI first and consider whether you want to edit. If you do then take a look at "introduction to referencing" above and find a suitable reference that confirms the new opening arrangements. Ideally it should be independent, e.g. a newspaper article, but if needed it can be something on the stadium's own website. Give me a shout if you need any further advice, or look at "The Teahouse" where there's lots of people willing to help. 10mmsocket (talk) 09:51, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
It looks like you're in luck. The re-opening is widely reported, e.g. here, here, and here. Those were just the first three results when I searched google for "lifford greyhound stadium 2023 opening", and all look suitable to use as references. Look in the referencing guide at how the {{cite news}} template works and you'll get an idea of what to do. 10mmsocket (talk) 09:55, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please also review Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure policy. Editing the article of your employer requires you to disclose this fact in a visible manner, as explained in the policy. The preferred method is by using the {{paid}} template on your userpage (User:Jpmagee2). I can help you with this if you need it. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:55, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

As you have a conflict of interest with this topic, we advise you to learn how to make edit requests on the article's talk page (Talk:Lifford Greyhound Stadium) instead of editing the article directly. This gives uninvolved editors the opportunity to review your proposed changes and provide feedback if they are not satisfactory. It also reassures the editing community that you are acting in good faith, and not placing your employer's interests first. All users must place the interests of the encyclopedia and its readers above personal concerns. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:05, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
