Newton High School (New Jersey) edit

Why does my edit keep getting deleted?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jp4president (talkcontribs) 22:07, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

See the discussion I started on the information you provided on the article's talk page at Talk:Newton High School (New Jersey). Edits on Wikipedia must follow certain guidelines and policies, such as Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy. The first line of your addition claimed the board of ed has a "superiority complex". I'm not negating that. In fact, I know very little of the current debate. But articles must be neutral in tone, referenced with reliable sources and be verifiable. And of course you wouldn't know about these policies and guidelines I linked above since you're a new editor, so take those links as a measure of good faith. Your edits are welcome, but we need to follow the guidelines to make sure the tone of the encylopedia is appropriate. Given a proper reference and a neutral tone, I think the contract dispute might be a good addition to the article. I know the NJ Herald had an article about it. By the way, is the dispute only with the teachers at NHS or is it district-wide? If it is throughout the district, perhaps it would be better suited for the article on the Newton Public School District. Hope all that information helps. (By the way, I'm an alumnus of NHS. Class of '01. It's nice to meet a fellow NHSer.) Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 02:39, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
