Termination of employment in Argentina

edit

Hello Joshelijim! I saw your article (mentioned in the header as it's very long to type), and while I respect that you likely put in hours of effort into the article, I don't think it is suitable for inclusion on Wikipedia, as it may violate WP:INDISCRIMINATE, or that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. Sungodtemple (talk) 03:19, 7 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Sungodtemple! Thank you for your insight but I'm a bit confused about it. I checked the link you gave me about Wikipedia not being an indiscriminate collection of information and I don't see how my article could fall into any of those examples. Besides that, this article is a traslation from an article already posted on the Spanish Wikipedia, therefore it must have gone through a rigorous community review process which should have established that it is not Indiscriminate. Could you provide clarification about why you feel this way, please? Joshelijim (talk) 22:29, 10 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Joshelijim, different Wikipedias have different review processes which could mean that one thing that is notable on one language Wikipedia is unacceptable in another. The thing I have against this article is that it may only interest a select few people, and there is no WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS to point to for this one. Sungodtemple (talk) 00:07, 11 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
The interpretation of policies and guidelines is subjective. One thing you can be sure is that not all editors have the same understanding of them. It's normal for editors to be in opposing sides of discussions over them. But, in this case, the editor who contacted you would have to go through a deletion request process to see if they find consensus to what they said. The article is still online. Thanks for your hard work! Thinker78 (talk) 00:46, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Sculpture in the Renaissance Period

edit

The article Sculpture in the Renaissance Period has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article appears to duplicate Italian Renaissance sculpture. Discuss.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sanctuary of Urkiola moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Sanctuary of Urkiola, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, it needs a ton more footnotes. It's definitely notable, but if the uncited information is taken out, that pretty much guts the article. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I thought that was better than removing the uncited material. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello! Unfortunatelly, I just translated the article from Spanish. It's difficult to add sources when you're not the main creator but I will do my best. Espigüete moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Espigüete, is not suitable as written to remain published. While it appears to be notable, it needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. There are large sections which are wholly uncited. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Article translations

edit

Hi Joshe... I see you translate some articles and I'd like to add some are fairly expanded. But several of them are very poorly sourced, some section lack sources entirely. If you could add some to the articles, it would be good. And for future translations, I suggest you choose articles that have enough sources, at least one for a paragraph. No worries, this is just a comment by a friendly reviewer which is meant to make my work easier. Happy editing, Paradise Chronicle (talk) 20:43, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
