Hello, I'm 4thfile4thrank. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on John Wayne, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! - ❄️Steve talk? 21:54, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’m sorry I just sign up on Wikipedia and I don’t know how to show articles or how I get the internet on here Josh paul sites (talk) 22:04, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Robin Williams. Thank you. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 22:09, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

BLP

edit

Please familiarize yourself with WP:BLP. it would be prudent to stop editing biographies, as all of your edits have been removed for poor sourcing. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:48, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

What am I do wrong I’m new to Wikipedia and I don’t understand why everything I post is wrong or inaccurate information Josh paul sites (talk) 23:25, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I gave you a page to read above. WP:BLP. For living people, Wikipedia demands only the highest quality sources. You have also misrepresented sources. My suggestion is to refrain from editing biographies until you have more experience. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:28, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’m sorry I didn’t know what I was doing. I didn’t realize there’s rules to Wikipedia Josh paul sites (talk) 00:16, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Can you offer any more advice on how to do stuff on Wikipedia? Josh paul sites (talk) 13:48, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sure! There are actually lots of policies and guidelines. Policies are more important than guidelines, and it is very important that you follow them. BLP is a very strict policy protecting living people on Wikipedia. The welcome template someone gave you above is an abbreviated version, and I will put a longer one below. There are two very important things to know. Never edit war. That is, read WP:3RR, but understand that good editors rarely revert more than once, except on BLP issues. And start slow, work on non-controversial topics and non-biographies, until you learn the ropes. And if you need help, you can go to the Teahouse, which is linked above.

Why is it on some article you can’t write anything? Can you get paid on Wikipedia writing articles and information? Josh paul sites (talk) 18:43, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

There are rules for contributing here. Did you read the articles that SandyGeorgia included above? Read them. Then, check out the Teahouse. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 20:08, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Stop or you can be blocked from editing

edit

Josh_paul_sites you continue editing biographies of living persons, to state and sometimes misrepresent religious preferences, based on less than the high quality of sources required for BLPs, in spite of at least five editors warning you and asking you to stop. I have explained to you above that you need to read the policy pages and refrain from editing biographies until you understand Wikipedia's rules. Not one of your edits has been retained: every one of them has generated a warning.

  1. John Wayne, no citation and a "rumor" [1], warned [2]
  2. Robin Williams, no citation [3], warned [4]
  3. Robin Williams, low quality sources and misrepresentation of what the source says [5], warned [6]
  4. Jesse Jane, blatant WP:BLP vio [7]
  5. Lena Headley, low quality source on a BLP [8], warned [9]
  6. Lynda Carter, low quality source on a BLP, which you also misrepresented [10], warned [11]

If you continue in this vein, the next step will most likely be that an admin will block you from editing. This is your last warning. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 23:00, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Can you remove my account? I’m starting my own website where I can share whatever information I want Josh paul sites (talk) 23:25, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

No, I cannot, because I am not an admin. You could inquire at the Teahouse. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:23, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Do you have anyone on your team who can remove my account? Josh paul sites (talk) 00:34, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Did you read the line just above your last response, at 00:23 ? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:44, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yes I don’t know what teahouse is. Is that on Wikipedia? Josh paul sites (talk) 00:46, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

It is mentioned three times on this page and linked twice; have you read this page? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:51, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don’t see the link. I see the mentions but not a link Josh paul sites (talk) 01:00, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I found this page for you, which explains that an account cannot be deleted: WP:RTV. If you need more help, you can go to Wikipedia:Teahouse, and click the big blue button that says. “Ask a question”. Good luck, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 01:07, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I’m sorry I just trying to give information. I don’t understand Wikipedia rules and guidelines. I’m not trying to be a pain Josh paul sites (talk) 01:14, 18 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why was my comment on religious views of George Washington removed? I quoted from a documentary and it still get removed Josh paul sites (talk) 00:23, 21 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why was my edit on Gal gadot and religious views of George Washington removed? Josh paul sites (talk) 20:11, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Well, I didn't revert it, but I did see it. Since you asked, I'll take a guess that your edit was reverted because the text you added:

Gal gadot is very Jewish she enjoys talking to people about your religion and where she was raised

http://www.celebritybeliefs.com/gal-gadot/

Was not encyclopedic. It reads like something you might find in a Hollywood celebrity trash tabloid, not an encyclopedia. In addition to that, it was nearly incomprehensible: poorly worded, poorly capitalized, and poorly punctuated. Plus, you tried to use a source that would never pass the requirements outlined in WP:RS. You made matters worse because you didn't even format the citation competently.
Seriously, what are you trying to accomplish here? I really hate having to reply to you like this, but it seems like you're on an evangelical crusade of some sort, and I'm afraid you're going to find that sort of thing will not work very well here because it is outside of the stated mission of Wikipedia. — UncleBubba T @ C ) 21:05, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I just wanted to share information. That’s all I’m trying to do. I’m not a evangelist. I just find hearing about famous people religious views fascinating. Josh paul sites (talk) 01:03, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Do you have any videos that helps explain the rules and guidelines to editing on Wikipedia articles? Josh paul sites (talk) 16:50, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 01:50, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

It is still apparent that you are not reading or absorbing what others post to you. Please carefully read everything posted in this section you are responding to. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:32, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please read and follow the instructions in the first post right under the heading on this page that says, September 2020 (2), and includes reading the entire page at WP:Guide to appealing blocks. I won’t be responding again unless I see you can follow these instructions. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:59, 2 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
