Hi Josh, if you think the two articles should be merged, you need to write a proposal on Talk:Confirmation bias saying why. I don't think there's much chance of a merger, myself, since the literature on conf bias is distinct from the literature of subjective validation, and whole book chapters have been written about confirmation bias that make no mention of subjective validation.
