South Ossetian War 2008 - Map
editHi, you wrote on the discussion page of the map: I'm glad someone took the time to do something like this, but it is hard to edit with the latest information. How would one go about creating a version that can be added onto? --Josephdurnal (talk) 19:55, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
So, I uploaded it as .png-file (so now it should be editable with e.g. Macromedia Fireworks or other good image editing programs. (But notice that the file is pretty huge with 5.9 MB). commons:Image:Georgia War 2008 08 11 (editable).png. Personally I wouldn't add more new information to this one, because I think it would get pretty chaotic. But at least one can change it now if some information was wrong or something.
When you want to add the latest information (new troop movements or stuff) then I would suggest that one creates a new map. But one could use this editable as a foundation for a new map. So that we have at the end a series of different maps showing the different parts of the war. -- DanteRay (talk) 09:02, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
