Request reason:

I was adding an associated press article to a wiki on weapons of mass destruction. A user removed the article. We began to discuss why. That one user would not allow a legitimate source of information led me to wonder why. I stated that removing legitimate sources gives the appearance of bias. I assume this is why I was blocked from reasoning about it. Please unblock so we can continue to reason about the facts of the subject. Thank you.

Decline reason:

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied, we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details, there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
If you are able to edit the sandbox, you are not blocked from editing. Either the autoblock on your IP address has already expired, or you weren't blocked in the first place. Either way, you can resume editing.
  3. If you are still blocked, follow the directions below:
    1. Copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "Unblock request" section.
    2. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page, and click save.
If you cannot edit your own talk page, use the Unblock Ticket Request System to make your request.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Mr. Maykish, I don't see a block on you. I assume that you are caught in an IP block or an autoblock (usually the result of the block of a vandal account who shares this IP with you). Is it possible to have you cut and paste the block message you see when you try to edit WP:SANDBOX? That way we can hopefully find the block involved. Thanks! Hello, thank you for your kindness to reply. Here is the message I see when I go to edit a discussion page. "CheckUser evidence has determined that this IP address (or network) has been used abusively. This address (or network) has been blocked temporarily or permanently to prevent further abuse. " I will check the sandbox too. Also, while I have you how do I change my user name? Many thanks!

Yes... on the sandbox I get the same problem...

Then you may have an autoblock of some type - without providing the full message, including the IP that you see, we cannot assist. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 20:15, 27 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, sorry about that. Here is the top part of the block that includes the name/IP. You are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia. You can still read pages, but you cannot edit or create them. Editing from 74.227.224.0/19 has been disabled by J.delanoy for the following reason(s):"CheckUser evidence has determined that this IP address (or network) has been used abusively. This address (or network) has been blocked temporarily or permanently to prevent further abuse." Thanks for your help...

Hello. I've been blocked again by the same source. If you read my discussion you will see I'm not breaking any Wiki rules... I'm just trying to add an Associated Press article that would balance the site. It appears that the person blocking has an agenda. I'll let you see what you think since this is the second block from the same person and I'm being civil, reasonable and not breaking User rules. Here is how the block reads. "You are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia. You can still read pages, but you cannot edit or create them. Editing from 74.227.224.0/19 has been disabled by J.delanoy for the following reason(s): CheckUser evidence has determined that this IP address or network has been used against Wikipedia's policies (not necessarily by you). It has been blocked to prevent further abuse. See below for how you can edit Wikipedia if you get this message.

Hello. Who ever has been helping me with this block thank you. I'm new to wiki and I'm confused why the same person keeps blocking me. I'm blocked again right now and we are having a very rational, multi-person discussion on a subject. But once again I'm getting the following block. Is it possible to see if this person is abusing the block function? "You are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia. You can still read pages, but you cannot edit or create them. Editing from 74.227.224.0/19 has been disabled by J.delanoy for the following reason(s): CheckUser evidence has determined that this IP address or network has been used against Wikipedia's policies (not necessarily by you). It has been blocked to prevent further abuse. See below for how you can edit Wikipedia if you get this message."
