Highway articles

As Polaron has been telling you, the changes you are making to the Massachusetts highway articles are in violation of WP:R2D. You are both in violation (or close to it) of the Wikipedia:Three-revert_rule, which is worthy of a blocking for both of you. As you are relatively new to Wikipedia, I figured I'd just leave you a message here, but he is correct. If you don't like the policy of the road name redirects (I don't either, honestly...) complain on the talk page, don't cause constant disruptive edits

Changes to Redirects

Hi JosefBranson. As noted above, edits such as you have been making to some highway-related articles are known as "fixing redirects". You will notice if you read the policy listed at WP:R2D that this kind of "fix" should not be done:

"Some editors are tempted, upon finding a link to a redirect page, to remove the redirect and point the link directly at the target page. While there are a limited number of cases where this is beneficial, it is generally an unhelpful exercise"

The WP:BRD rule is quite clear: you were bold and made a changes. It was reverted. Do not re-add the change, because at that point you are required to discuss the changes on the article's talkpage. Multiple editors have brought the WP:R2D policy to your attention. Continuing to go against it could become considered as disruptive, which could eventually lead to admin action being taken.

Let me know if I can clarify these issues for you, and happy editing! (talk→ Bwilkins / BMW ←track) 06:02, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Warning: Your changes with the redirects also happen to violate WP:USSH, which can result in your being blocked since it was part of an arbitration case. If you do this again, you will be blocked. --Rschen7754 (T C) 06:16, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
