Carol Kirkwood edit

Hi - I hope this finds you well! I note with interest your various and numerous consistent edits on the article on Carol Kirkwood, and reverting numerous additions stating in the edit summary that the subject - ie: Carol Kirkwood - has either requested that such information be removed or that it is inaccurate. A couple of thoughts:

  • Are you in anyway related to Carol Kirkwood or closely associated to her, possibly her agent? if so, such edits to an article could be construed as biased under the rules of wikipedia, see WP:BIO
  • If what you are saying in your edits notes is correct, then you seem to have done nothing to assist other editors in either supporting your editorial line through either supporting notes/discussion on the articles talkpage, or in-article notes. This will result in you continually having to revert various edits for ever!

Can I suggest you clarify the above questions either on the articles talkpage or come back to me on my talk page. I am happy to help you here, and vandalism/insertion of certain information on popularist articles such as Ms Kirkwood's can be resolved, and certain information which is not inserted in every tabloid interview easily managed. If you have any questions, please come back to me. With Best Regards, --Trident13 (talk) 05:45, 3 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dera Trident, As Carol Kirkwood's agent - it is my responsibility to maintain an accurate page for my client. If such information is to be disseminated it should, I'm sure you agree, be accurate. Given that this page originally got the background and age of my artist wrong - and because media outlets seem to take the information enclosed in this inaccurate site as gospel - you can understand the need for me to monitor this carefully. The only information I have added or removed is purely for the sake of accuracy. Perhaps you should turn your attention to the libellous comments that I have just removed instead of worrying about those people who are trying to ensure the accuracy of this information.
Dear Jonty. I understand your concerns and need for accuracy, but you must read WP:BIO. As you are Ms Kirkwood's agent, you are effectively barred from editing the article. You can place notes on the articles talkpage, ether requesting addition or removal of information, but that's it. If something was particularly libellous, then no established editor would revert your edits, but other wise the rules are clear. Having been involved in such situations before, where agents or the personality them self were concerned with the inclusion/exclusion of information on Wikipedia, I suggest you adopt a strategy of finding some friendly editors who will happily keep the page under watch, and hence quickly review of your requests. I realise this might not be ideal as far you are concerned, but these are the rules. My concern is that if you keep the current hardline, then you will be banned from editing here at all - even under alternate identities, or using alternate persons - and that would seem not to suit either your client or your business. Hope this helps, happy to chat further - Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 14:58, 29 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
