Fair use rationale for File:Batiratu.jpg edit

Non Free Use Rationale: The only available photo of a person in history who held the title of 'Taukei ni Waluvu'- the subject of this article is considered fair use. This photo from historic Andsell collection- Alex Turnbull Library New Zealand.

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Batiratu.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Are your images properly licenced? edit

Dear User:Ww2censor, I am trying to correct all copyright issues as highlighted, Thankyou. User:Jonocan.

If the age of the images you uploaded is accurate, then they are likely in the public domain, but you should do some more investigation. Using so many non-free images in an article is against the non-free content criteria 3a and some may be deleted if you keep them listed as fair-use images. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 16:30, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Vakamisinari Nakorovatu,1881..jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Vakamisinari Nakorovatu,1881..jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:06, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

September 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Taukei ni Waluvu may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Ratu Samuela Ranarogo (1855–1931)a son of Rovucago9 younger brother of Roraiova) held the Vunivalu title of the clan after Ratu Alipate Baledrokadroka his elder brother died in

Hello - reference please edit

Hi Kerry, Info of Silafaga Paniani and Ratu Pio Tini is from LDS geneology database available on line. From family knowledge and research, Silafaga married the Bauan/Lasakau chief after the death of her first husband a Mr Jim Kerrigan at Levuka the former capital of Fiji.Being a lady of Samoan nobility, she would have been a proper suitor for a chief of Bau according to the custom of the era. She also died in Levuka and is buried there. Her children from Ratu Tini, Ratu Viliame Kamikamica III and Adi Kelera Kataoqo were taken back to Samoa with the Kerrigan children after her death but returned to Fiji in the 1930s. Ratu Tini's father was Ratu Viliame Kamikamica I alias Kolivisawaqa II. Ratu Tini's grandfather (Ratu Loaloadravu Tubuanakoro alias Kolivisawaqa I)was Ratu Seru Cakobau's elder half brother.Their father was Ratu Tanoa Visawaqa the Vunivalu of Bau. The descent of the Kamikamica's from Tanoa and close relative of the Cakobau's is indisputable in history and not much known and told today. Cheers Jonocan

Hello Jonocan

My great grandmother is Silafaga Paniani and I am intrigued would love to know where you found the information about her marriage to Ratu Viliame Kamikamica II as in the extract below. I am trying to understand better the relationship between Kamikamica II and Ratu Seru Apenisa Cakobau Vunivalu, who is the spitting image of my father.

I'd really appreciate any information you can provide.

"Kamikamica's I second son Ratu Pio Tini had three son's and two daughters. His first son, Ratu Viliame Kamikamica II married Adi Lele of the Tui Cakau of Somosomo Taveuni and had children: Adi Litiana, Ratu Filimoni, Ratu Sakiusa, Ratu Viliame, Ratu Filimoni II, Adi Lele and Adi Wati. Ratu Viliame Kamikamica III (1915–64) and Adi Kelera Kataogo (1911–1980) followed from his union with Silafaga Paniani (1876–1918) of the Ainu'u Maliatoa clan of Sapapali'i village Savaii Samoa and another son, Ratu Qionikoro whose mother was a Ms Wedlock.Kamikamica's I daughters, Adi Stela was married to Ratu Filimoni Loco, Tui Sawakasa and had a son Ratu Ovini Loco. His youngest daughter was Rokonaisua from a lady of Naroi Moala."

Recent edit reversion edit

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I suspect that misidentified the source of the material and it may be this site if it is acceptably licensed, I didn't see the evidence.
