Notability of Tina Nail

The article Tina Nail has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Spam links

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Tenby. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. Tenby links - DMOZ solution implemented

Thank you for your message! The link that you repeatedly keep adding to both the Tenby and Saundersfoot articles, you seem to have an interest in, and itself fails WP:EXT due to its excess commerciality (Google Adwords). We have had similar problems on the Fowey article, and so I have implemented the solution we put in place there by: (1) Removing all but official and WikiTravel links, (2) adding the link to DMOZ, where you can add your link and get an SEO backlink credit (all links at Wikipedia are nofollow). Cockapoo edits

Hi. I am new to Wikipedia and learning. I am wondering why have removed my attempts to update the Cockapoo page. I have added what I thought was valuable temperament info and what I consider a valuable external link to the www.cockapoocrazy.com informational website, but you removed the link for being commercial and including adwords. While that site does feature a book for sale on one of the pages, the website itself is a free info source with many dozens of articles on cockapoos. It is no different than the links you are allowing on the site permanently, like www.cockapooclub.com, which sells its book through its site, or www.cockapooclubgb.co.uk, which features adwords. Can you please point me to the policies that decide which sites with advertising, book sales, and/or adwords are allowed as links and which aren't so that I may not make the same mistake with other edits I had planned? Almost every website has a link of some kind to advertising or a product on its pages, and since this is how we point to our resources, I am wondering what situations or layouts cause deletion, so that I don't waste time with edits that will only be deleted in the future.Psychocy (talk) 19:02, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
