Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and write articles, however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is Jonesa3). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.

Please note these points:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view to edit the article; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do that.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted texts, advertisement messages, and texts that are not related to that article. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism. A user who repeatedly vandalises articles will be blocked from editing.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on my Talk page – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.

Adoption

edit

Hi Jonesa, I can see from your user page that you've expressed an interest in the Adopt-a-User program. If you would like to be adopted by me, drop me a line on my talk page. Have a nice day! PeaceNT 15:34, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Great! I've changed the adoption userbox on your userpage. I hope you don't mind :) If you have any questions, just drop me a note. I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Best, Peacent 01:41, 9 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of History of globalization

edit

I've nominated History of globalization, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that History of globalization satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/History of globalization and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of History of globalization during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. --Gavin Collins 16:12, 30 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE: Collaboration

edit

That might be a good idea, but it would have to wait until late summer; I will be away from 18 June to 30 July. But until then, in what areas do you specialize? Any overlap with my short list on my user page? Baronplantagenet 13:30, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm posting a message to all members of Wikipedia:WikiProject_European_history to make sure everyon is aware that there is a proposal (apparently never discussed on at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_European_history to deprecate the project and mark it {{historical}} supplanting it with Wikipedia:WikiProject_History/Task_forces/Europe. Whether or not this should occur, we need to have as much discussion as possible. So far, only two editors have had anything to say about it. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_European_history#WikiProject_History.--Doug.(talk contribs) 18:24, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
