Scientific accomplishment worthy of consideration on my page edit
I published an important scientific paper and hope it will be included in the section on academic, clinical and research experience.
The standard model of Parkinson's disease rests on the assumption that these people need to be treated with more dopamine. However, we've been trying different ways to do so since the 1970s and still none slows the progression of disease. The paper is the first report of how much dopamine is in the key neurons - which is critical since dopamine within those brain cells is toxic to those brain cells. The paper shows that the amount of dopamine is a bit higher or a lot higher that in brains from people without Parkinson's. This serves as evidence that the way we are treating the disease for the past decades could be wrong - in fact, backwards.
