Round 1 Feedback

edit

Hey @Jonathan Kvech:, great work on your article so far. Nice job adding the sections on references in the media and expanding on the origin by citing the interview. I don't have a lot else to say other than that I'm happy with what you've done so far I'm excited to see how your article develops further!

Round 2 Feedback

edit

Greetings @Jonathan Kvech:, Pjuan8 has left you helpful feedback on your article ([[1]]. Pjuan8's feedback was really positive and I agree that the work you've done has really improved the article. When you started this article was a wp:stub but I'm confident that by the time you're done with it that it will be [[wp:start-class]. This is a meaningful contribution to Wikipedia!

Pjuan8 suggested that an image or video would be a nice addition to the article and I agree. It might be difficult to find an appropriately licensed image, so I advise you to inform yourself about Wikipedia's norms around images and copyright before you go looking for an image. It might be that you can find or create an image that would be usable under wp:fair use.

Finally, as you prepare to publish your article, I suggest you take a look at my page on polishing your article for ideas for your next round of work on this project. I especially think that doing things like adding wikilinks, "also see" links, categories, and external links are good things to do when polishing an article. I also suggest that you spend some time carefully copyediting the information you've already added to make it as easy to read as possible while maintaining an wp:encyclopedic tone. I think you're in decent shape here already, but there's always room for improvement. Groceryheist (talk) 23:22, 4 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Groceryheist: Thank you and will do! I was also considering adding information about how the geico commercial came into being from an interview found through this website https://www.si.com/nfl/2016/01/29/ickey-woods-nfl-cincinnati-bengals-ickey-shuffle-super-bowl in addition I was considering adding information about how the name the "Ickey Shuffle" has found itself a new life/purpose. It has now also been coined as the name for a popular sports agility/speed ladder drill that also uses a variety of the 1-2-3 type motion that is involved in the original dance. Do you think that this would be relevant information to add? I would go as far as to say that it is one of the most commonly known and used drills throughout a wide variety of sports, especially football. From the youth level all the way up to the pros.

@Groceryheist: I tweaked some of the Grammar within my content sections, as well as, added some to the lead section briefly addressing the origins of the dance and its media presence. I will try and email you to gauge your opinions on whether or not I should add information in relation to its new found use as a popular agility drill, in addition to the information found through that sports illustrated interview, where he talks about how the Geico commercial formulated and also the amount of money that he has made from the dance.

@Groceryheist: Added to the lead section// wrote about what Woods has done with the money generated form the dance// added to the Geico section // Also, added a section describing the popular speed ladder drill that uses the dances name and a similar type of motion. If you are able I would love to meet with you sometime tomorrow after 12 pm (noon) to talk about these edits and if you believe any further revision is needed!
